Over the next several months, we're set to achieve a number of exciting milestones:

* 150 acres of water on the main lake: Construction has already started on the first phase of our 300-acre lake, the heart of our community. By the end of this year, almost 150 acres of the lake will be complete. Soon, Towne Lake will offer recreational and entertainment options, waterfront shopping and dining and of course, a beautiful setting for some of Texas' top home builders. Two new bridges connect current sections to the main lake and Tuckerton entrance: Work is under way on our beautiful Towne Lake bridges. Our large, landmark-style bridge on Tuckerton will provide an eye-catching entrance into Towne Lake from Barker Cypress Road. And inside the community, a new bridge is connecting our current sections with new development that will include waterfront homesites on the lake.

* New fishing hole and park opens: Our first pocket park/playground will open, along with an old-fashioned fishing hole adjacent to the lake.

* 14,000 SF Active Adult clubhouse opens: Our new active adult section - The Heritage at Towne Lakeopens its 14,000 square-foot clubhouse, providing a convenient community gathering place for activities and events.

* New builder joins Towne Lake: Coventry Homes joins our list of available builders, with a wide range of floor plans and price points.

* Lots on the main lake will be released: We'll be releasing a number of large, main lake, waterfront lots to custom builders for homes in the $400s to more than $1 million.

Spring is the perfect time to visit Towne Lake and see the exciting growth that's taking place as we build Houston's FIRST community connected by water!

Heritage at Towne Lake - community for active adults 55 and better

Our Active Adult section - called The Heritage at Towne Lake - features patio-style homes by K. Hovnanian's Four Seasons and Village Builders, with a wide selection of floorplans from 1,800 to 3,000 square feet. There are currently five models available for viewing, priced in the $200s-$300s.

The Heritage at Towne Lake will feature a new clubhouse - to be completed this year - that will be exclusively for residents of this section of the community. The 14,000 square-foot centerpiece of the community will feature a large ballroom with stage, a billiards room, arts and crafts facilities, a heated pool and spa and a full-time activity director. Programming will be designed based on resident input and will provide a setting for neighbors to interact with neighbors.

man, it sounds like they are sparing no expense for this development. I noticed they had a ton of fill dirt along Barker Cypress, I guess that was dug out for this lake. 300 acres of water qualifies as a lake in my book, not a detention pond like most other subdivisions call "lakes".

I'm pretty excited about the planned amphitheatre and waterfront. From the renderings it looks like it'll be a pretty good size facility (similar in size to the CW Pavillion). Nice that it'll be located right off the lake.

Also, If you're familiar with the layout of this property, the Southern half is pretty barren, the Northern half, closest to 290 has a lot of big hundred year old Post Oaks and other trees. It would be pretty smart of them if they identified, retained and accentuated those grand old trees. They could charge a premium for the properties they develop with them and an opportunity to further differentiate themselves from other developments (Bridgeland, Blackhorse, CC Lakes and Stone Gate) on the Southside of 290 where the tree canopy is somewhat sparse.
