Looks like Phase 2 which was supposed to be announced around this time won't happen any time soon due to the pandemic, etc.

That's unfortunate, was really hoping for some good news on this development. I suspect 100 waugh is even further back on the back burner given the state of the office space sector.

Do you have more color on this? Was it office oriented? Why delay an announcement - its a very long lead item.

From the Houston Business Journal:

". . .  with the pandemic and the resulting economic impacts, we are taking a wait-and-see approach on next steps based on what market demands will look like as people resume their post-Covid lifestyles,” the company said.

BKR Memorial said the next phase of the project will include additional residential units, as well as Class A offices, retail and restaurants, all centered around pedestrian walkways and a central green space. Other uses, including hospitality and entertainment, are being considered for future phases, the company said.

Unrelated but nearby...I spotted survey stakes around the nearly 1-acre property with the small office building at 300 Jackson Hill. If redeveloped, a tower here would be surrounded by parks and have incredible views of DT, UK, and Uptown...and also the AIG building heh. Maybe it's nothing though.

WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is happening faster than I thought!!!!!!! Mayor Turner called us "Silicon Bayou" I like the ring of that

Actually, it took way too long. Too many of these West Coasters seem to think all the Texas tech savvy resides in Austin or Dallas. They need an education...

I noticed a few new permits from last week. For the next sections perhaps? 2B, 2C are listed as well as a mystery entry. Based on the address its located between 2B/2C and the H-E-B building.

Has anyone else noticed that Cushman & Wakefield is actively trying to lease out Phase II?  States Class A office space 260,000 SF.  This might make sense with the utility connections being installed along with the road work taking  place

I was wondering if anyone new anymore info about this project. I was thinking of moving from the 3rd floor courtyard view to the 4th floor downtown view in the Arlo apartments. I don't really wanna deal with construction noises though. Their website says 2025 as year built.

That "master plan model" looks like a "value engineered" Energy Corridor project.

I think that's the master plan for the property across Waugh (I don't think we've seen a plan for that before). Based on the address and property shape this doesn't look like the future main portion of Buffalo Heights (The Memorial Trails property).
