Administrative Assistant - Immediate Opening

Recommended Posts

There is an opening for a personal assistant/administrative assistant/light bookkeeper at a local real estate developer. It's everything from phones to light filing to some accounting. The pay is decent and would be great exposure for someone looking to break into real estate. I won't mention the developer, but it is someone that is well known in Houston as I understand it. I guy I grew up with works there and asked that I put this up on this board.

The most important thing, as I understand it, is a willingness to be on time, learn, and have a good attitude.

IM or post here and I'll get you in touch with the people.

THEY ARE LOOKING TO FILL THE POST RIGHT AWAY

Hi! I have a couple of questions.

On what side of town is the developer? Is it a part-time position? I have my RE license, but per doctor's orders, I can only work 20 hours per week. I would LOVE to get a job again. Fair warning: I am 5 mos. pregnant. :D Not everyone wants to deal with that, but I am excellent with customer service, detail, and budgets, and I have a great phone voice! :D

I also already have great insurance! :D

Parrothead, ideally what type of job would you be looking for? I get a lot of job listings that aren't advertised publically anywhere and if you let me know what you're looking for I'll be happy to forward ones that look like a potential match to you.

Well that is very sweet! Thank you sullivan!

Ideally it would have to be part-time, no more than 20 hours per week. I am licensed in real estate but cannot do a lot of physical work, i.e. showing houses all day. I currently do website design at home, having done not only my own page http://www.tropicaltexans.com but I have done http://www.johnpalmerart.com and http://www.mylittlebean.com.

I can type around 45-50 wpm, have excellent editing skills, and am familiar with many different types of software. I also have retail management experience, having managed both The Bombay Company stores as well as Brookstone in the '90s. I am not sure really where I would fit with that, however, I am not looking for anything terribly challenging at this time--filing, answering phones, etc would be fine.

If you see anything with which you feel I might be a good fit, feel free to let me know!

Thanks again, Sullivan!
