lookinoveratya Posted September 4, 2007 Share Posted September 4, 2007 I just returned from a long weekend in Houston playing tourist. It's my first visit in over 20 years. By the way, wow! What a great city! We stayed at the Hotel ZaZa. Ate at several great restaurants. Had a great time touring the Museum of Fine Arts. Did some shopping in the Montrose and Rice areas. And enjoyed a terrific concert by the Houston Pops.In our exploring we drove around the the area between Downtown and the Museum District. Is that "Midtown?" I thought that area was a fascinating part of town surely with an interesting history and full of potential. So what's the story there? Any big plans for development? I'll read through all of these threads, but thought I'd ask if anyone had a summary scoop...Again, you folks have a very cool city on your hands. I'll definitely be back before another 20 years.
