Broadstone Midtown Phase I & II - Apartment Buildings at 3800 Main

Recommended Posts

They are building this thing super slow....nearly a month with barely any changes.

Didnt this thing start before sky house ??? Long before ???  and skyhouse has already started adding glass

Youre right. I wonder If there's an engineering delay or contractor issues.

I am glad to see the infill ,but I agree with someone who said that these self contained designs, no not add to a sense of urban.. If the  court yard entrance opend up onto main streert that would have gone a long way

Rode by this the other day on my bike, it looked like there may be shops facing Main after all. Could be mistaken, but it looked like open space that wasn't taken up by apartments or parking...

Broadstone Midtown "Phase II" on the boards.

Is this different than the apartment complex going in on the Fire Museum site?

A reserve site platted many months back suggests they own the vacant lot south of W. Alabama between the Spur, Travis, and the exit ramp.  I've assumed this is where a phase II will be.

Yes, the one for the Fire Museum site is by Trammell Crow Residential.

So just to be clear, the grassy lot in the photo above is where we think phase II is going? I got really excited when I saw soil testing happening there last year, but I assumed the funky access might rule out a project this big.

but the crane for this one was white/red. Why is this one yellow? New crane?

the yellow crane was used to take down the white/red crane.

Do they use another crane to take down the yellow one?

An infinite loop of cranes taking down cranes.

The lot adjacent to the Spur is being cleared.

What's going on with the adjacent lot? A different project?

Wow nice density in this part of Midtown... I like how a lot of these developments are centered around the central rail station

I guess I forgot that they also own the southern lot as well?

So is the southern lot on schedule for development as well?

Well, at this point, it is clearly only a test site to check the facade and design. But I guess I completely forgot that they own the lot in the first place!

True, maybe after Phase 2 this lot will be cleaned up for a potential Phase 3? Here's to holding out hope...
