Gary
Neat article, but I'm a little surprised that they didn't mention the Strand.

Gary
They did.Yup, they did. I was dwelling on the last few paragraphs that were kind of itemizing the Island's attractions."boutique-filled buildings of the Strand National Historic Landmark district a few blocks away, they keep Galveston at the forefront of Victorian destinations".Geeez, I need to take a reading comprehension course. MidtownCoog
The Strand is OK, but you can see it all pretty quickly. Give me the open bay waters any day.
TAK
didn't a developer from Chicago buy some land in Galveston?
moni
It was very generous of the Trib to publish this article praising Galveston when Chicago has such a nice beach. I believe it shows that when a city is happy with itself, it can afford to show love for another city. Thank you, Chicago Tribune.
