The revolving door from Capitol Hill continues.... US Rep. Gene Green (D-TX), who has represented the 29th Congressional District since 1993, announced he will not be seeking reelection to another term in 2018, ending almost 46 years of public service. With the new sheriff in town, comes in the new policies of a new administration at the Harris County Sheriff's Office. In terms of how Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman [R] has been handling staff changes, etc., it won't make the diversity advocates very happy at all as he's cleaning out the Garcia staffers including African American, Latino & Asian appointees to either civilian posts or fired them altogether!
