Rumor on the street is that Cameron acquired 25 acres from Apache. I believe this location is the former Dow Chemical HQ at 400 West Sam Houston Parkway. They have real estate all over the city, particularly in Westway Park. This must be a large consolidation for them. Apparently going to include over 1 million square feet of office. Patrinely will develop it for Cameron...you have to believe the architect will be Gensler. Same team currently developing Southwestern Energy's new HQ in Springwoods Village. How many energy companies are left to build new campuses for?

From what I have been hearing, the old "Late Nite Pie" (502 Elgin) location was purchased by the same people that own "Chrome" nightclub over at Shepherd @ Kipling and it's going to be 2 or 3 floors in height! While nothing has been set in stone, the only thing I can think of is what a horrible location that would be. The Lot is small, NO parking (Valet options would probably be 24hr garage and the Restaurant in the back), plus the high speed exits from 59 on Brazos. You'd have to have wreckers posted there on weekends.

Major development announcement for The Woodlands. New mixed-use plan is on the northern east shore of Lake Woodlands on Lake Woodlands Drive. The development will be across the street (Lake Front Circle) from The Woodlands United Methodist Church. http://www.woodlandsonline.com/npps/story.cfm?nppage=48249 Sounds like the Hughes Corporation is cashing in, infrastructure be damned. Can we get timed lights in Town Center already? Widen Grogan's Mill?

I noticed a variance request sign up on the fence of the parking lot between the Rice Collaborative Research Center construction and the Hilton Hotel. Does anybody know what it could be?

Wow...more growing pains for The Woodlands. In the Houston Chronicle, it was announced that the Condo tower being planned for The Woodlands Waterway will stand at 20+ floors. It didn't give an exact number, but said it would top out higher than 20. Not only this, but several other mid-rises are planned for Woodloch Forest drive and The Woodlands Parkway. Read the article below. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/nb/woo...ws/5644653.html

Per the linked document below, something is happening to the Holiday Inn on the east side of 610 west, just north of Richmond. Post Properties and Bury+Partners are listed as the involved parties. Are they going to demolish and build residential or convert it? From Post's website, it looks like they only have residential buildings. ftp://edrc.houstontx.gov/2013/Applications//2013-1289/SubdivisionPlatPDF_POST%20GALLERIA_PLAT_PDF.pdf HFF's website says it is still on the market. I guess they need to update it? http://www.hfflp.com/GetDocument.aspx?ID=35251&FN=%C2%B13.9+Acres+Flyer-7.31.11.pdf&DT=1
