  3. This thread was originally created August 29, 2019. I'm reposting / reupping this because this post and other content from me are no longer available on the forum. An archive link will be posted soon. An archive link to this thread before its deletion is here. Mods, please don't move this to the Heights forum where all of my other Washington Corridor and Rice Military, and Garden Oaks/Oak Forest posts were moved to this week. This is NOT in the Heights and it's not part of the Greater Heights area. It's an entirely different area that as suggested and advocated for previously needs its own area forum. There is lots of development happening here, much spurred by the Sawyer Yards and Buffalo Heights developments, which usually merits the creation of a new neighborhood forum. Thanks. 1624 West 34th St in the Central Northwest area of Houston: Street View
  4. Proposed plat for Equilent West 23rd. Consent item. HCAD ownership.
  5. Anyone know more about this one? SubdivisionPlatPDF_AR-M350_20140814_102212.pdf
  6. There is a request for a variance pending before the planning commission for Oct 2 for the Freedman's distributor site on Waverly and W 6th down below the bike path. 8.65 acres. Seeking a building line variance from 25 feet to 10 feet. No indication what, if anything, is planned for the property. Freedam's looks to have been bought out by Grocer's Supply. The latter also has been consolidating operations into a new space in the 1st ward. No idea whether they are going to sell, are selling or have sold or whether they will redevelop the property with modern warehouse space.
  7. Friend said she saw a sign out front today that said "Going out of Business. Ladies Only". Anyone know what's going on there?
  8. This thread was originally created March 18, 2017. I'm reposting / reupping this because this post and other content from me are no longer available on the forum due to a mod removing my account and its content in "error" (supposedly). The information may be outdated or no longer relevant, but reupping provides an archive to what was posted. It also provides a place to post future updates about this property if and when it's redeveloped An archive link of the thread before its deletion is coming. Note to mods (though it will probably be ignored as my other public requests on this same topic were): please don't move this to the Heights forum where all of my Washington Corridor posts were moved to. Mods, also don't sneak and move this thread and all the others for Washington Corridor, Oak Forest, Garden Oaks, and Independence Heights to the Heights forum once all the previous content is reposted as y'all have done in the last month and continue to do. This is NOT in the Heights and it's not part of the Greater Heights area in any way. This is in the Washington Corridor area, an area that as suggested and advocated for previously needs its own forum because there is lots of development happening here, much spurred by the Sawyer Yards and Buffalo Heights developments. That in itself usually merits the creation for a new neighborhood forum. Until then, posts for those neighborhoods should remain in the forum for "Other Neighbohoods" has is done with other threads that don't have a dedicated neighborhood or area of town forum.Thanks. Last year, Houston Business Journal had an article about renovations coming to 1919 Washington Avenue. The renovation is a joint venture between Baker Katz and Braun Enterprises. Do anyone know more about this? From HBJ: The developer (Braun Enterprises) also closed on a historic building at 1919 Washington Ave. in a joint venture with Houston's Baker Katz earlier this week, too. The owners will renovate the building, which is home to Julep, a popular cocktail bar and Gulf Coast seafood eatery, before any additional tenants move in. The property contains 17,000 square feet of commercial space, of which 12,905 square feet is available. http://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2016/09/23/exclusive-fast-growing-retail-developer-scoops-up.html
  9. This thread was originally created March 15, 2017. I'm reposting / reupping this because this post and other content from me are no longer available on the forum. An archive link to this thread is coming. The 1500 block of N Shepherd is being converted into a new development. The map for Bungalows on 22nd St shows the entire 1500 block of North Shepherd as development called Market at Houston Heights. The properties are between W 16th St and W 15th St, across the street from Wooster's Annex and Heights Bier Garten. The site plan depicts three restaurants and a retail space.

  13. My friend is finally putting Party Boy on the market for $10,500,000. Quite a sizable lot in a good developing area. We'll have to see what comes of this.

  16. Proposed plat. Developer listed as D’Agostino Multifamily, LLC. It appears to be a storage lot for cars but D'Angostino builds apartments. HCAD ownership. https://dagostinocompanies.com Looking at D'Angostino portfolio they do build storage buildings.
  17. Last night, Hubcap Grill announced on its twitter feed: "Coming soon to the Heights. Hubcap Burgers and Beer Garden. Live bands on weekends ( classic Texas rock ) Texas beers" A number of the feeds followers wanted details, but the owner said he'd announce on Monday. But...about an hour ago: "It's official: @hubcap_grill just signed lease for a space on 19th St. in the Heights near Cedar Creek. Hubcap Burgers & Beer Garden. Woohoo!" Any one care to speculate as to where on 19th. This sounds like an interesting addition to the neighborhood. Their burgers are considered some of the best in town. Last night, he stated it would be open in two months.
  18. HOUSTON — Harrison Kane of Rockspring Properties represented the seller of 2.77 acres at 3409 Brinkman St. in the Garden Oaks area just off W. 34th. Along with the land came a 38,000 SF flex building with an ambulance services tenant. The buyer was Braun Enterprises, which plans to redevelop the site in the future. https://realtynewsreport.com/rnr-real-estate-briefs-hou-aus-dal-sat-and-more-14/

  21. Tucked in between the McNair apartment project and the Ancorian Timbergrove development.
  22. Braun is renovating this office building. PDG Heights has their construction trailer in the parking lot while they build PDG Heights. https://braunenterprises.com/media/7/6/7/c/4/9/west-heights-urban-office-flyer.pdf https://braunenterprises.com/property/west-heights/ 1st Floor. 2nd Floor. Location.
  23. Proposed new plat. Loopnet shows it not listed anymore. This whole area is lined with bars/clubs and several more under construction. Broadstone Beall is slated to go up just down the street. This is an old trailer park that I've ridden by several times and always wondered how long it would last at this ideal location. Owner is listed as Mosely Hill Country Group,Llc. and Timeline Construction is listed as the developer. Edit: Looks to be the owner of the Creek Group of restaurants/bars. https://timelinecg.com
  24. Looks like Broadstone purchased some more land for another apartment project in the greater Heights. Taking a wild stab that it might be this lot currently being used for a heavy equipment storage based simply on the shape of the lot and the shape of the new plat.
