This might create difficulty for the restaurant formerly known as Floyd's, since they use the church parking lot for their customers. 7. Well, I'm undercontract, again!! Does anyone know the real status of The Royalton (aka "3333 The View") conversion from apartments to condominiums? We've been under contract for 2 months now waiting for a closing date. Our first contract was at the Shamrock Towers. We refuse to the Galleria area to buy into a high-rise condo!

  12. This is the large double-block bounded by Nicholson, Rutland, 25th and 26th, as well as the block bounded by Ashland, Rutland, 24th and 25th. In the last week or so, a trailer has been deposited on this land, on the 26th St side, right across from Ashland St, and the big for sale sign has come down. Any news on what might be happening here? There's currently a LOT of residential construction going on within 3-4 blocks of this site.

  15. I just heard from a co-worker that all 112 units have been sold to a foreign investor. It's approximately 3.5 acres and it will be highrises. I don't know how to add a photo or I would. The last MLS sale in there was www.har.com/44634356. The homeowners have 60 days to move out.
  16. I haven't been able to dig up a rendering, but it looks like a new complex is going up at 8700 Main St. I saw "Haven at Main St" referenced in the latest planning commission meeting and a building permit was issued for a new parking garage yesterday Buyer for permit was Troy Bell of the Guefen Companies - they apparently specialize in multifamily properties. Judging by their project list they mainly do garden style apartments but this tract is only 3.4 acres Edit: Guess it is just a "plan review fee", not a building permit
