Anybody with information regarding the new mixed use development east of Gleannloch Farms (between Champion Forest & Stuebner Airline on northside of Spring-Cypress). I believe this land is part of what was once proposed as a landfill site in the late-90s, adjacent to Valka Rd & across from FINS. Google search has only turned up title references & recent ownership changes. In driving past, the sign reference Betz Development, but nothing on their site. Nothing on Commgate either. Unfortunately, the sign on site is too small to be readable if driving. Yet, there appears to be plating that references mixed use. Hopefully there is some insights on here ... especially if relates to improved retail & restaurants. For example, we really don't need a FOURTH car wash between 249 & Steubner on Spring-Cypress. TIA -
Just a head's up: Since just after Christmas, at least two Cypress-area residents have given accounts of their family members being robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot outside of the Cinemark Theatres at 290 and Spring-Cypress. In each, guns were pointed at or pressed up to victims' heads and/or chests. In neither case was the victim alone, they were part of a pair or group of 3 who were accosted by 2 gunmen. Both incidents were at night.

Anyone know why Ace hardware on Spring Cypress went out? I loved that place! What about PlayNTrade on Louetta and Stubner-Airline? It was always so busy. My kids are bummed!

It looks like clearing has finally begun for the new "proposed" HEB(per New Quest Properties' website) at 2920 and Spring Cypress. Does anyone know what type of HEB it is going to be if in fact it is going to be an HEB?

I am looking for high speed internet (DSL or cable) for my new home but I heard negative reviews from Comcast subscribers. Does anyone who live in this area (SH 249 and Spring Cypress) have an alternative? Thanks! -
Good Morning, My first post!! Does anyone know what stores might be going into the center that is being built on the NW Corner of Spring Cypress and Champions Forest (Gleannloch Farms)? It's a rather huge shopping strip; large enough to make one wonder if there will be a grocery store going in there. Goodness knows we could use one there because I strongly dislike the Kroger's there. Any information would be appreciated!! The "MRS" of Mr_and_Mrs_Hydrogeo
