forgive my ignorance but it seems like i recall people talking in the past about a potential redevelopment of the Post Office site? is there a thread on this? i tried searching but couldnt find anything on it. are there plans for the post office site to be redeveloped? if so what are the plans? i came across this site somehow and thought it was kind of interesting. i never knew the Post Office site sits on top of what used to be Central Station and Hotel for the rail road and the city of Houston back in the day. it makes me wonder if the site could be redeveloped into an Intermodal Terminal

The property at 212 Milam St., presently occupied by the more-or-less abandoned Chase Motor Bank across the street to the north from Market Square Tower, has recently been listed for sale: https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/212-Milam-St-Houston-TX/15558588/ Here's hoping for some nice redevelopment to extend the skyline further north.

Noticed both notice of variance signs, and reasonably sized plots of land being cleared along the northwestern edge of the East End, mainly near Kennedy St. There is one lot on the corner of Jensen and Kennedy, Just south of the Buffalo Bayou and across from Guadalupe Park (currently being renovated), which is being cleared, along with the stretch of Kennedy St. between McAlpine and St. Charles being removed. Wonder if multiple decent sized lots could be connected for some form of multifamily development? Not a lot of info on this one that I am aware of. Anyone have a clue? Further along K

Maybe this kind of question has already been asked before, but just curious to see what architects some of you really like and what you want them to do for Houston. By the way this is anywhere! Houston, Texas, USA, the world. You could even split it up into dream architects and ones you think could be possible if that helps some of you xD. What are some top architecture firms that you like? What are some up in coming architecture firms/ architects on your radar? What architect/firm would you really like to design buildings in Houston? If this firm did design something, what would you

I was raised in 5th ward and it has gone down terribly. I remember when the street sweepers came around twice a week to clean the streets in 5th ward. I-10 ran right in front of the apartment I grew up in. I saw them tear down the old neighborhood to make way for the I-10 freeway. The freeway stopped at Gregg street and it took years for them to complete the rest. There was a place bordered by Clinton Drive (south), 59 freeway (west), Collingsworth (north) and Gregg St (east). This area was called "French Town". This is where my grand parents lived. My grandfather was a carpenter and w

Any idea what else is going in the new retail center at Kirby & 59? I saw a Corner Bakery going in, and the website lists it as 2615 Southwest Freeway, but I've been unable to find any more information on it. I've searched on here and couldn't find any info either, my apologies if I just missed it!
