  1. All, Any suggestions where I can go for really high quality photo print jobs? ... Think large size and a decent paper collection. Ideally local to Houston so I can stop by and discuss the process. I need to print out several architecture photos for a show. Thanks! Hoef
  2. I know this probably asked a lot, but that makes this more necessary, plus I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I am looking for a spot to get a shot of the Houston skyline, but from the east, one that captures St. Joseph's in the shot. I want one where it's safe to shoot, or at least somewhat safe, where I don't have to worry too much about having a decent camera. I know everyone says to shoot from the opposite side, like where Eleanor Tinsley park is, but I personally want one with a shot of the hospital in it. Also, maybe one that doesn't have too much rundown scenery around it. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
  3. HI Everyone - Not sure if anyone would be interested, but I've started taking pictures of abandoned places in Houston. Feel free to check out the page and the Instagram - for more info on why I started the project! Please let me know if any of you know any cool places to photograph or viable sources that could help. Cheers! Page: http://facebook.com/abndtx Instagram: http://instagram.com/abndtx
  4. Hello, I am currently conducting a small project that involves capturing black & white photos of Houston's historic buildings. I am specifically looking for buildings from the the earliest 1800's to the early 1900's. I have a good collection going and looking for suggestions on other interesting buildings for the collection. Here is a link to the portfolio (work in progress): http://stuartpartridge.smugmug.com/Historic-Houston-BW All the best, Stuart
  5. Hello all! I'm hoping I can hunt down some secret tips from all you HAIF folks. I've recently undertaken a personal photography project of seeking out unique views of downtown Houston. I'm most interested in elevated views and have high hopes to find some ways of accessing some rooftops in Houston and would love any insider tips! Here is an example of what I've been able to capture so far: http://petermolick.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Houston/G0000YreO9HEiDeA/I00000.6FAJoB85I/C0000XeWuFFt6iGM Please let me know what you think and share if you'd like - THANKS! *I realized after posting this in skyscrapers that it should probably have been in this section - sorry!

  8. It didn't really dawn on me to look for a historical marker or anything on this building and the only thing I've found is this: http://www.panoramio.../photo/35794816 Here is the photo I took of it. It's a good looking building, but I need a better perspective on it. Those damned wires kept getting in the way.
