Spec's is coming to Montrose!! Montrose and Westheimer next to Half Price Books in the shopping center on the corner to be exact. The space has stood empty for a while. Recently I walked past the unoccupied location and noticed a wall of coolers had been installed, my first thought was grocery store, but today on my way home, a sign company had plastered a paper layout on the wall so that they could install the electrical part of a new sign, I drove by slowly and barely made out the name of the infamous Rabbit's home!! Spec's Liquor Warehouse. Let's get our drinks on Montrose!
I'll be careful how I describe this location as there are SO MANY banks in this area that it gets confusing (and a bit hysterical). This is along the north side of San Felipe and just east of Garrettson Lane (I got the address by clicking "What is here?" on google maps [to no avail], so it may be inaccurate). Anyway, chain link fence around the site, digging in the back away from San Felipe... it kind of looks like utility work, but I didn't have my binoculars when I was in Panera. The bank has been closed for the past three years... anyone know what's going on?
