After years and years of back and forth between HISD, the architects, the school, and the community, this one finally broke ground in late March early April. This is a reconstruction of Bellaire's existing school. Originally part of the 2012 Bond referendum, this is anticipated to finally bring this massive bond to a close. Personally, I'm amazed this one ever got built. Lets just say this wasn't an easy project for those involved to develop, and there was a lot of chaos, but all of that aside the important thing is that its happening. Developer: HISD Architect: PBK Estimated Completion: 2021 (students will move back in), 2022 (final completion) Budget: $106,724,000 Article about groundbreaking (March 28th): https://blogs.houstonisd.org/news/2019/03/28/bellaire-hs-gathers-to-celebrate-start-of-construction-on-new-building/ Site Plan: Render (for some reason the only publicly avaiable render...is of the parking garage portion...oh well)

Since we Don't have Subforums for various "Villages" or Spring Branch, so I'll be putting these here for now. In 2017 the residents of Spring Branch ISD passed a Bond Referendum. One of the projects is a renovation/reuse of spaces in Spring Woods High School. Plans call for changes to the Dining Commons, a refreshed outdoor plaza stage, and changes to the library. Developer: SBISD Architect: PBK Estimated Completion: 3Q 2020 Bond Info: https://www.springbranchisd.com/about/bond-2017/campus-bond-work/spring-woods-high-school This is supposed to be under construction, but we are still waiting to see photo updates on the website SBISD Presentation (March 4, 2019): https://v3.boardbook.org/Public/PublicItemDownload.aspx?ik=44002225 Images from Presentation:

Since we Don't have Subforums for various "Villages" or Spring Branch, so I'll be putting these here for now. In 2017 the residents of Spring Branch ISD passed a Bond Referendum. One of the projects is a proposed classroom addition to Northbrook High School. Currently, they are still in the early design phase, but all three options are calling for an addition of 3 stories. This one is opening next month (April 13, 2019), and will be home to Houston's Major League Rugby team, the Houston SaberCats. It's currently in the construction phase (broke ground back in July 2018), and will have a modest capacity of 4,000. Overall project cost is $15.25 million, and was partially funded by a long-term loan from the City of Houston. The location here is city-owned land at a newly-developed addition to Houston Sports Park which will be visible along the South Freeway (SH 288) at its overpass at Sims Bayou. Principal naming rights were sold to current team sponsor AVEVA, who is a British-based multinational software company. Here are some early renderings (from March 2017), a more accurate/recent set of renderings (from July 2018) , and some recent snapshots of construction: Here are some more recent renderings:

Tomball ISD names PBK designer for district's second High School The Tomball ISD (TISD) announced this week that PBK will serve as architect for the programming and design of the Districts newest high school. Only the second high school in the community, the new campus will accommodate 3,000 students (core) and is scheduled for completion in 2011. This project is part of a $198 Million bond program that was approved by TISD voters in May 2007. PBK has enjoyed an existing relationship with the TISD since 2002, and served as architect for the "extreme makeover" to the original Tomball High, which won the prestigious Caudill Award from TASA-TASB in 2004.
