Does anyone know where I might find copies of The Pasadena Citizen from the 1960s-1980s? It does not appear the Houston Public Library has any microfilm holdings of the paper and I can't seem to locate any information online about who might have archived it.

Does anyone know where the archives or files of the old Houston Press Newspapers are located?? If I remember correctly, didn't the Chronicle buy them out---in 1964??? Online files for the Chronicle doesn't go back far enough for what I am researching about-- before the 1950's.

News stands used to be big in Houston, there were many all over Houston up until the early 90s as I remember. Do any of you folks remember a favorite new stand you used to visit on a regularly visited? If so post up the stand and the location. There was a big one on Westheimer east of Voss I used to go to a lot through out the 70s.

Interesting piece today in Slate about a Montgomery County newspaper (The Bulletin) that has been "borrowing" articles from other sources / newspapers / magazines without giving any credit: Dude, You Stole My Article My first impressions? Mark Williams totally doesn't exist. And I'm surprised that even after being called out for their alleged plagiarism, the newspaper went ahead and printed a new issue with even more cribbed articles!
