KPRC-TV viewers were emailing Mike McGuff of mikemcguff.com that KPRC was running promos announcing a new morning meteorologist has been named & it's current weekend morning meteorologist Britta Merwin. The station has officially confirmed it! As McGuff reported back in October, current longtime morning meteorologist Anthony Yanez is heading to the west coast to KNBC-TV Los Angeles, CA (NBC 4) on January 21st, so everyone knows there was an opening coming up. Merwin will officially start as the main morning weather gig on January 16th. Leading up to his January 15th KPRC send off, Yanez has been busy plugging his new children's book "A Wild Ride on the Water Cycle"-a children's book that teaches weather science to younger readers.
