  1. I looked at these apartments the other day. They were nice and across the street from The RO. https://invernessapts.com/
  2. Deleted this member. Also banned his e-mail address, and user name and similar ones. Also, he was coming from a computer in the Philippines, so I banned the entire ISP. I should probably ban the entire country. I know other web sites ban all users from Russia, Romania, and a number of Asian countries. I wonder if that would help here, too.
  3. I just heard from a co-worker that all 112 units have been sold to a foreign investor. It's approximately 3.5 acres and it will be highrises. I don't know how to add a photo or I would. The last MLS sale in there was www.har.com/44634356. The homeowners have 60 days to move out.
  4. While looking at the map on this announcement, for some reason I can't quite put my finger on the place, except perhaps where maybe where that old hotel is at and such. here is the article and map. It should be interesting to see what the final plans show.
  5. Does anyone have any photos of the Gramercy Apts. on Montrose, the ones that were demolished to make way for the Fingers High Rise? I would love to see some.
  6. I'm inquiring on the behalf of an incoming professor about the quality and safety of the following places: Alexan Main Street 8333 Braesmain, Houston, TX 77025 Sawyer Heights Lofts 2424 Sawyer Heights St, Houston, TX 77007 The MacGregor 2380 S MacGregor Way, Houston, TX 77021 Any information about these places would be very much appreciated. And if I need to provide any more details, please post to let me know.
  7. Martin Fein to build four-story loft project Houston Business Journal - 3:56 PM CDT Fridayby Jennifer DawsonHouston Business Journal Well-known apartment developer Martin Fein has started construction on a luxury loft development near the new urban Target retail center on Interstate 10. Houston-based Martin Fein Interests Ltd. is building a 326-unit, four-story project known as Sawyer Heights Lofts, two miles west of downtown. The complex at 2424 Spring St. replaces two older industrial buildings that were recently torn down on the five-acre tract. The apartments are going up next to the Sawyer Heights Village Shopping Center under development by Houston-based Property Commerce. The Target-anchored center has become a new landmark on the heavily traveled Katy Freeway. Sawyer Height Lofts will range in size from 683 square feet to 1,344 square feet. The interiors will feature simulated wood flooring in common areas and carpet in the bedrooms. Kitchens will have granite countertops, custom cabinets and upgraded plumbing fixtures. The complex will have an exercise room, game room, library, party room, conference room and pool. Exterior architecture was done by the Steinberg Design Collaborative AIA LLP, while interior work was handled by Stacia Brown of Kathy Andrews Interiors. Dallas-based Sarofim Realty Advisors is the equity partner and Franklin Bank provided construction financing. A Martin Fein affiliate, Westchase Construction, is acting as general contractor. Since its formation in 1989, Martin Fein has built thousands of luxury apartments in Houston and the Southwest. http://houston.bizjournals.com/houston/sto...ml?surround=lfn ________________________________ Glad to see the old warehouses torn down. The addition of the lofts will be very welcomed.
  8. What is the history of the Houston-based company called Martin Fein Interests? The company specializes in multifamily apartment complexes around town. From what I can gather: For nearly 30 years, Martin Fein has been involved in the development and acquisition of more than 30,000 units. He established Fein in May 1989. In 1996, he began Westchase Construction for the construction of high-end apartment developments, and he continues to serve as its President. Previously, he served as President of the Farb Companies.
  9. Anyone got a short-list of what streets were left unfinished? How about Belmont?
  10. its unfortunate that most of the development has not occured on main. The Northwest quadrant (north of McGowen and West of Main) has seen the majority of multifamily devlopment and was there most of the TIRZ reimbursements were spent to kick off the TIRZ. On the east side of midtown there is alot of townhome development. The project you saw on Fannin is the Ventana that is rental apartments and was the first project in the southern part of Midtown. I think you should go up san Jac to Gray and take a left and look at Post then drive some of the streets in that area around Brazos.
