With Nick Giovanni leaving KPRC-TV for WUSA-TV in Washington D.C., the NBC Houston affiliate replaced him with James Starks as one of the station's sports anchors/reporters. Who is James Starks you might ask ? Starks played for the Cincinnati Bengals as a free agent in 2008. Injuries led him to play for the Ancona Dolphins in Italy. Before going to the Pros, Starks was a two-time All-American at Capital University in Columbus, OH. In 2007, he was named the Ohio Athletic Conference's defensive back of the year. Before joining KPRC-TV, he previously worked at WOIO-TV and Fox 8 in Cleveland, where Starks was a sideline reporter and anchor. He follows another recent KPRC-TV sports hire, Simone Eli, who was also a college athlete. http://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2014/09/james-starks-kprc-2-sports-anchor-reporter-.html Now the sports team at KPRC-TV includes Randy McIlvoy (sports director), Simone Eli, Chester Pitts, and Starks. Reaction to this hiring and how Starks will be received by the KPRC-TV faithful ?
