"The food truck park will be located inside a two-story 10,000-square-foot-building with air conditioning, a 40-tap full bar, outdoor games such as cornhole and a children’s playground. Porky’s Backyard will also have two double-car lifts—which can be used when hosting car clubs—and three Formula 1 racing simulators." I appreciated this blurb from the website. Sounded very NextDoor-ish "We are located in the heart of the Atascocita Area just past the junction of Atascocita Rd and Timber Forest! 5131 Atascocita Rd, Humble TX 77338 To all people on NextDoor who've complained: I do in fact know how ATASCOCITA is spelled. I was just a little busy with the construction. I have lived here my whole life and even attended ATASCOCITA High School. I would like to apologize for my egregious error and will make it up in food, drinks, and dogs. -Austin (feel free to call in to complain)"

  3. Found this in the publication Gulf Coast Oil News 1917-01-13: Iss 14 and wanted to share with HAIF. A cool, viewpoint, from the old days! In a few hours, I'll post the history to the site. Apparently the Westheimer family owned it prior to G.H. Hermann? Crazy! View On Hermann Tract Recently Sold For a Million When George Hermann, late philanthropist of Houston, bought the land on which the wells shown above are located, paying 25 cents to $1.00 per acres for it, he little thought it would ever be worth more than a million dollars. The tract was recently sold for $1,200,000 he money to be used to erect and endow a hospital in Houston, in conformity with Mr. Hermann's will. Humble Oil Field Humble, Texas FJ. 5. Thought there may have been a thread for this but I guess one wasn't created before. Around this time in 2021 there was a mention that three locations would be opening in the area - in Humble, Conroe & The Woodlands by the following year. https://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/06-16-21-bojangles-fried-chicken-fast-food-restaurant-houston-locations-humble-conroe-the-woodlands/ Not sure what happened to those three locations, but the twitter account for the Bojangles Houston group mentions a location opening on August 15th. A tweet indicates it will be the location in "Richmond" at 19310 W. Belfort - Just west of the intersection of the Grand Parkway and Harlem Road. This piece from the Dallas Morning News on the store that opened in Euless indicates at least 10 more are coming to the Houston area, per the company's CEO https://www.dallasnews.com/food/restaurant-news/2023/06/27/as-bojangles-fried-chicken-opens-in-texas-ceo-says-20-stores-are-in-d-fws-future/ "We just signed a franchisee in Houston for a 10-store commitment. But we also have a company location in Houston. So we’ll have a company base in Dallas [with the four D-FW restaurants already announced] and a company base in Houston."
