Rich Lord, the station's longtime afternoon host of "The Triple Threat" was let go alongside Mike Meltzer of the Morning Show as Sports Radio 610 is making an attempt in boosting their flagging ratings, which had imploded since 2017.   5. I see that Fred Davis has left the Midday Show with John Lopez & Landry Locker on Sports Radio 610 KILT-AM Houston.... he's heading into the energy industry. Mike McGuff of mikemcguff.com has reported that according to an agreement between the Houston Texans & Entercom, the unrivaled leader in sports radio had agreed to extend the broadcast partnership. In the aftermath of Josh Innes joining KMBE 790-AM & returning to Houston, the iHeart Media station had to let go of longtime radio host Charlie Pallilo in order to make way for Innes in the rating-crucial afternoon drive spot. Pallilo's status was not addressed in a company statement announcing Innes' hire to work the 3:00pm-7:00pm afternoon shift & station officials refused to return phone calls seeking comment om Monday. However, Pallilo's name & blog both were removed from the KMBE website & he told colleagues that he was no longer with the iHeart Media station.

Has anyone listened to Jim Mudd's controversial takes on the morning show, "In The Loop" on Sports Radio 610 (KILT-AM), where in some of his takes, he uses racially-charged biases including one instance where he said, "Someone trying to find Nick's black baby," in reference to Nick Wright's mixed-race kid.   19. David Barron and Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle reported that Texans games in Spanish will be moving this fall to KGOL (1180 AM), the team and station announced on July 22nd. Enrique Vasquez, who has been part of the team's Spanish radio team since its inaugural season of 2002, will be handling play-by-play, joined by analyst Gustavo Rangel and sideline reporter Daniela Rodriguez.
