"Guefen Development Partners purchased 13.3 acres near the northeast corner of FM 1464 and Bissonnet in Richmond. Guefen is developing Haven at Mission Trace, a 264-unit apartment complex consisting of eight residential buildings, a clubhouse and a resort-style pool. Ashley Casterlin of Davis Commercial represented the sellers, Reed Real Properties and Duddlesten O’Brien Ltd."

Did Guefen change names or merge with someone else? Ascendant was announced this week as a new developer but no mention if they were Guefen. They share the same address and suite. https://www.ascendantdevco.com https://guefen.com

I saw this Notice of Variance sign for multifamily at Mt. Vernon and the feeder by 69. It appears an LLC with this name was registered back in March.

I haven't been able to dig up a rendering, but it looks like a new complex is going up at 8700 Main St. I saw "Haven at Main St" referenced in the latest planning commission meeting and a building permit was issued for a new parking garage yesterday Buyer for permit was Troy Bell of the Guefen Companies - they apparently specialize in multifamily properties. Judging by their project list they mainly do garden style apartments but this tract is only 3.4 acres Edit: Guess it is just a "plan review fee", not a building permit

Not sure if there's already a thread for this, but there is a very impressive wrap apartment bulldog going up at Westheimer and Eldridge called Haven at Westheimer.

Nothing too fancy. Multi-family complex with 120 units. More suburban than urban. Does anyone know what is going up? I noticed the crane earlier this week on my way to school. The location is between Buffalo Speedway and Kirby on the south side of 610, almost adjacent to Reliant Stadium.

Construction fence is up and crews have been gutting the place. Anyone know whether this is in anticipation of demolition or is someone really going to renovate this place?

Does anyone know of the City Park community going up around 288 and W. Orem? I noticed several builders are building in the area. My husband and I are considering moving to this area due to its proximity to the medical center. Is this a good neighborhood to move to? Also, how are the schools around this area? If we do buy a home there, we plan on raising our kids there and staying for about 5-7 years.

I was driving by yesterday and saw a sign for a 'variance' on the apartment complex at Briar Forest and Kirkwood or Briar Forest and Wilcrest. Forget which. What's going on here? Are these not one of the complexes that had so many problems after Katrina? Didn't Matress Mack want to buy them?
