Both sides of I-69 on the north-east side of FM 762 have had a lot of utility and dirt work. Both of them are very large tracts. On the outbound side, it's the field bounded by Rabb's Bayou and the back side of the Del Webb community. A large berm has been constructed along the feeder road. Assuming some sort of flood control. On the inbound side, a lot of of drainage was put in and it looks like Cemetery Road might be being repaved/connected to the feeder road. And the dirt work wraps around Jones Cemetery and all the way back to FM 762 and up to Rabbs Bayou on the north side. Does anybody have any idea what is being developed? Is the HEB center expanding? The amount of dirt being moved is almost as big as the Brazos Town Center footprints.

A while back, I'd heard something from my mom that Del Webb was looking to develop a piece of land near the intersection of FM 762 and the Southwest Freeway, essentially across the tracks from the Brazos Town Center development. She'd mentioned that the city was optimistic about the project and that the landowners really didn't have a problem with selling the land at some point. Anyone know anything a bit more concrete than Mama's tax office buzz?

This is another project I've been curious about just based on traffic volume alone. This would be along FM 762, a mile or two north of the George Ranch in what I think is now part of Rosenberg (my guess based on the annexation around Bridlewood Estates, and the new City Limits signs popping up around there). There was a decent amount of info and several renderings in today's Fort Bend Herald, but nothing on the website. I'll scan it in soon though.
