    Tannos developing 106-acre mixed-use district in Friendswood - Houston Business Journal (bizjournals.com) Tannos & Wolfrgramm Capital to develop 106 acres at FM 528 at Blackhawk Blvd. Blackhawk will be extended from 528 to connect w/ Bay Area Blvd. -54 acres will be a mix of office & retail with a boutique hotel brand and convention space. All of the commercial parcels of this side have been claimed. -52 acres will be parkland to be donated to the City of Friendswood for a space that will have 4 miles of trails and a fishing lake. -Construction expected to begin at the end of next year and wrap up three years later.

    Does anybody (besides me) have any recollection of Shellwood? It was on the corner of 518 and 528 in Friendswood, and was bascially a park for Shell employees. They always had their company picnics there. It was very wooded and had a pool, tennis and basketball courts, picnic tables, etc.... I always knew where it was, but my Mom's friend told me there was a subdivision where it once was (I never knew that it was bounded by 528). The "lake" is still there, and is located right off of the creek (Clear Creek perhaps?). I was wondering if anybody could share some memories of it.
