Plat filed for the eastern half of lot that currently has the office building containing the Maritime museum and Andes Cafe on 2311 Canal St., so only the portion currently empty is covered. This entire property along with the one across the street bounded by Canal, Navigation, Runnels and the RR are owned by Midway (listed as KBRN on HCAD, same as East River). Both are highlighted in the attached picture. Judging by the shape I am thinking mid rise apartments, hopefully with some mixed use fronting Navigation. Anyone have additional info? Could this be the start of a larger "Gatew

I have seen a lot of activity at the warehouse on the north side of the Dowling-Polk intersection. They have replaced all of the windows and the upper level has been given a new stucco exterior finish with green-toned paint. Looks like it could be highrise lofts or something like that. Anyone know for sure?

I heard from someone in the real estate community that this property traded hands. Does anyone know what the new owners plans are? I believe the restaurant depot store has already shut down.

Looks like new apartments will be going up on the lot enclosed by Scott/Sampson/Clay/Denver streets where the old Ever Good Imports warehouse currently stands. HCAD lists the property as owned by Toorak Investments since 2010. May be better for "Going Up!" page.

I'm certain I saw a topic about this but couldn't find it. Merge if necessary. Multi block apartments by Alliance Broadstone in Eado. Saw signs on all sides of this future project. I assume the retail portion on the northern side will continue. Sparkle burger on the southwest corner was closed and abandoned, I wonder if they moved elsewhere? They were pretty good old school burgers but don't ever order a double, they were huge.

This warehouse in EaDo on St. Charles (across from Be Fit Gym and caddy corner from EaDo Bike Co.) has been vacant and up for lease for a while. Today I noticed two banners for Gin Design Group on the building, facing the Columbia Tap Rail Trail. I’m wondering if they could be considering a buildout to attract a bar/restaurant tenant? Been living in Greater Eastwood for about four years now, crazy how the area has changed and developed so much in that time. Driving around the other afternoon I came across a gorgeous home that caught my eye in a very peculiar way. Traditional spin with a modern flair and what looked to be an additional greenhouse in the backyard from what I could see through the large privacy fence. Has anyone else had the opportunity to see this home on Polk Street near Eddington? What do you think about homes in the area being given new life and the impact on the overall community it has?

Does anyone know what the Midtown Redevelopment Authority is planning to do with all of the random lots they own? The odd thing is none of them are actually in Midtown. They're in East Downtown and Third Ward. I see 457 lots on HCAD. I'm just interested to know. Thanks for any insight! idtown redev.pdf

The lot in between Dallas and Lamar on Paige St had a full crew breaking down the structures on site yesterday. It used to be the Green Hill Recycling Management Center. Any word on what we should expect?

Should the budget and plans for street and sidewalk development be changed with the release of TXDOT plans for highway reconstruction? It looks like TIRZ 15 has budgeted over 5 million over the next 5 years for construction on St. Emanuel (which will ultimately become a feeder road) and other streets that will be affected by the contruction. I am not pretending to be a city planner or engineer, I just looked at the budget and it was signed in early of 2016. Shouldn't the plans be revised? Shouldn't the Eado Management District be involved making these changes?

Looks like there is a new bar or restaurant opening up next to Café TH. Got the info off a post on Nextdoor, so credit goes to someone else for finding it.
