  7. I was looking into the works of Kenneth Franzheim and discovered a rendering for San Jacinto Memorial Hospital located in Baytown. Looks like the hospital was built in 1947 by W.S. Bellows. Was the hospital purchased by Houston Methodist and eventually demolished? I'm not that familiar with Baytown.

  10. Part of my drive home is along here and it's a little out of my way but I love this area and I've been wondering about those old storefront buildings at this intersection. Kaboom Books moved here and it appears there may be a residence in the one with all of the windows, but what is the story with that area? Does anyone have any old photos or info? I just moved to the area and love the historic touches, having grown up in another city's historic district.
  11. Ok, so the class of 1989 from Baytown Sterling is trying to get organized on this whole reunion thing. I and a few others are throwing some ideas around about the where and the when. I think I can convince the majority on WHERE for a Friday night gig in May, but the Saturday night gig we would like to be a little fancier. Looking here to see if anyone may know someone with access to a nicer Ballroom or a Hall of some sort in either Houston or Baytown. Thanks in advance. OH! and if there are any lurkers on here from Baytown, we are looking for you over on Facebook, or you can hit me up here in a PM. I am looking forward to finding as many of my fellow graduates as I can. Later !
