  1. OkieEric has come across a mixed-use development proposed near the Menninger Clinic at 12301 South Main: https://www.facebook.com/saintnicholasschools
  2. https://houston.eater.com/2018/9/20/17883368/dantons-seafood-montrose-relocating-mockingbird-bistro Do we know of anything "cooking" at this site? I could easily see a mid/high rise going in at this site.
  3. Just ran across this by way of a search on HAR: Da Vinci Court They are townhouses in the 1500 block of North Main and apparently is the first project in the Hardy Railyard development. They look very nice. Has anyone been by there lately? Are these already under construction? Well, I just did the virtual tour on the website and it appears that some of them have already been built. Is that correct?
  4. Alliance residential to plant a multifamily mid-rise in The Heights. SubdivisionPlatPDF_BroadstoneShepherd.pdf
  5. This was mentioned in the Bizjournal article regarding the museum district site Alliance is also developing. Does anyone have renderings of this? Should be a game changer for the area of Washington north of I-10.
  6. Think I'm reading this right? DMRE sold 5.46 Acres that closed on 2/21/2020. I see a demo report for an industrial building at 1128 Silber. Possible multifamily coming? https://dmre.com/property/1128-silber-5-46-acres/
  7. New multifamily going up at 6701 FM 1960 West. It's by Alliance Residential, their Workforce Housing brand called Prose. More details: https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/TABS/Search/Project/TABS2020013507
  8. I'm certain I saw a topic about this but couldn't find it. Merge if necessary. Multi block apartments by Alliance Broadstone in Eado. Saw signs on all sides of this future project. I assume the retail portion on the northern side will continue. Sparkle burger on the southwest corner was closed and abandoned, I wonder if they moved elsewhere? They were pretty good old school burgers but don't ever order a double, they were huge.
  9. This must have been a CrockpotandGravel created topic as I can't find it, so I created a new one.
  10. City Council is set to vote this week to declare the Houston Heights Waterworks Reservoir site as surplus property, and to have it appraised. http://t.co/DsQhvwFHV6
  11. Does anyone know what the plans are for the large piece of land just inside the west loop across from Northwest Mall? It is bordered on the north by Minimax St and the southern edge is just north of the 610/Hempstead Hwy intersection. The previous warehouse/commercial structure was torn down in 2006. It is currently owned by Fleming Loop Partners according to HCAD. http://www.hcad.org/records/details.asp?tab=1&bld=1&card=1&taxyear=2008&acct=1283230010001 Just curious. Thanks!
  12. Anyone know what is going up on Gillette next to the Ashton West Dallas Apartments and the Federal Reserve? Green fencing, a portable building and 2 port a pottys went up Monday. I remember seeing that the city was selling the property but haven't heard anything since. There is also direct access to Allen Parkway Eastbound from Gillette now. Construction occurred over the last few weeks for that.
  13. Any know more information? This is proposed multifamily, near downtown. I assume these are a high-rise or mid-rise project, most likely the latter. 14. "Alliance Residential Co. is planning to develop a five-story, 207-unit apartment complex south of downtown for the block bounded by Bell, Leeland, Main and Fannin. EDI International is the architectural firm." http://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/real-estate/article/Houston-s-apartment-boom-focuses-on-urban-scene-4619878.php?t=445cfc44ffb05374ef Latest Renders:
  15. Did anyone else catch the "deal of the week" blurb in today's Biz section of the Chronicle? Towards the end it makes mention of a 20 story medical office tower to be built at 3800 Main in Midtown. Says it will have 500,000 square feet and that it is 65% pre-leased (which leads me to believe it will break ground soon). A co-development between Greenberg + Company and Quality Infusion Care. This would be a HUGE tower for Midtown and really stand out. Isn't the 3800 block near the 12 story HCC tower?
  16. Couldn't find any info about this. Location is on OST near Almeda. Next door to The Equinox. IMG_0713 by Not.Larry.Dierker, on Flickr IMG_0715 by Not.Larry.Dierker, on Flickr

  18. I noticed some four or five story apartments going up at this intersection several months ago, but haven't read anything about it personally. Does anyone know if this is the same complex and/or if construction is complete? http://www.broadstonememorialapartments.com/
  19. From my window I have noticed over the past month that a couple of double storey warehouses have been cleared on what looks like two separate parcels along Gillette St. north of Dallas St. I'll post pics later tonight. Anyone with info, please post up.
  20. Saw this under construction few weeks ago but couldn't find it online
  21. The Shrine Center over on 2900 N. Braeswood & Brompton has been an institution for many long time Houstonian's. The center has catered to hundreds of charity events, weddings, Annual Gala's and the list goes on. It was announced that the property has been sold and is in it's final months, days until it meets its demise. Built just around 1970-71 it will always be known for its cavernous ballroom and adjoining rooms to cater to anything under the sun. Ironically the huge chandelier that is centered above the dance floor was salvaged from the Rice Hotel. Now where will it go? Anyway its a real shame this place is going. Yes, to be replaced by townhomes. Here is a small sample of the interior. I will miss this place. http://www.shriners-houston.org/index.html
