  2. does anyone know what project is going on at this location? Yesterday construction was already on a second floor slab of cement.
  3. Does anyone have any memories from times in University/College? Any strange acts of vandalism or teenage stupidity? Any tips on how to stay in college? My sister is coming back from DePauw University (in Greencastle, Indiana) for Thanksgiving. She just graduated from Lamar High in Houston last May. She says that at DePauw a bunch of kids vandalized a deer statue donated by an alumn by making a failed attempt to saw off its legs. Then some kids rode the statue in the nude during Halloween.
  4. I was driving on 59 and noticed a crane! I was stunned, a couple of days later I happened to be in the area and it turns out that HCC had torn down a significant portion of it's campus and appears to be putting up a building, but I wasn't able to get an upclose look at the rendering. This is a substantial looking crane and it appears as if it's going to be a substantial building. Anyone have any info on this?

The university has agreed to buy the

It's won a number of architectural and landscape design awards since its opening 2004: Cy-Fair College Library / Commons http://www.aia.org/aiarchitect/thisweek04/...13scup_2004.htm

  8. Vaughn Construction to build TWU urban campus Mary Ann Azevedo Houston Business Journal Texas Woman's University has awarded a $27.7 million contract to Houston-based Vaughn Construction to build the university's new urban campus in the Texas Medical Center. The new campus will more than double the educational institution's Houston enrollment to 3,000 students. Construction is set to begin early next year. In preparation for the move, TWU participated in a land swap with The Methodist Hospital for the new site. The deal called for TWU, which has a primary campus in Denton, to build a new lo
