Does anyone know the current status of the Halliburton property on the west Sam Houston at Bellaire? I read it was going to auction at the end of April, but nothing since?

I am surprised nobody has mentioned this news... Lyme Properties of Cambridge, MA has announced that it has closed on property located at 1911 Holcombe between the Spires Condo and the Ronald McDonald House. Plans call for a building that will house 25,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space, 125,000 square feet of research and lab space, and 350,000 square feet of medical office space. The best news is that Lyme Properties erects FIRST CLASS projects. Here's a look at a similar sized building rising in Boston's Longwood Medical Center right now. The Blackfan Research Center will have underground parking and rise 300 feet above ground (18 floors). It's also another sign that the Texas Medical Center is really taking off. I cant wait to see what the Houston project will look like. To see more examples of Lyme's work, check out www.lymeproperties.com

Today I found some very nice looking apartments on McCue road. The design and colors are very elegant and remind me of a condominium or town home community. Also a hidden gem in in the Uptown multifamily market. Located off Richmond and McCue towards Highway 59. I wonder the architect. The design and condition of the building looks like it was built within the past 10 to 20 years. 2005-ish? Looking around, I see the Houston Housing Authority wanted to acquire this property from the owner/developer Post Properties.

Galleria Parc Apartments At 3363 McCue Rd.
Highrise Tower posted a topic in Uptown and Galleria Area
I drove by this multifamily apartment complex today. I never knew it existed. I wonder if anyone on HAIF has ever lived here? Definitely a hidden gem. Tucked away off Richmond and McCue towards Highway 59. Property website: https://www.galleriaparc.com/ Here's the photo I took today. -
This site will be redeveloped into a more-urban retail center. Sears will move out to a temporary location until the completion. Also includes residential; the rendering on page 5 may be one of the project. http://issuu.com/weingartenrealty/docs/sears_vision_book-print

Thanks for posting that great pic Subdude! I remember I had posted it in the old forum but had since forgotten what website it came from. I believe the Tidelands and Tides II were torn down during the late 90's to be replaced with surface parking lots for the Med Center I always liked those old buildings.

From the Galveston County Daily news: http://galvestondail...m/story/319850/ Awesome news! Two of the taller, vacant buildings in Galveston are to be renovated! I had noticed the work and progress at the Jean Lafitte hotel but wasn't sure what the story was there. Now if we can just get some news on the Martini Theater... With the cruise industry booming in Galveston I would have thought at least one of those towers would have made a nice boutique hotel My wife loves Galveston so we actually bought a historic (weekend) home last year and now I love it, too. I'm biased but it seems like things are getting better
