  1. Sits outside the TMC W. Leland Anderson Campus and Levit Green on Dixie road. https://houstontx.gov/housing/publiclegal/notices/2020/07/PGM-MULTIFAMILY_DEVELOPMENTS_JULY_2020_CDBG_DR-E-071720.pdf Loopnet listing: https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/3232-Dixie-Dr-Houston-TX/8356546/
  2. I recently discovered these old 1960 apartments in the Greenway Plaza neighborhood. wow!! I would post a picture but unfortunately it's watermarked. Does anyone have an image they can share? Who was the architect on this very strange, bizarre multifamily complex?
  3. Proposed plat for MOTUs Spot. By the end of runway 22 which they don't seem to use all that much.
  4. One of my HAIF buddy's gave me the idea of this thread. Thought I would create the thread as the TMC is considered a Central Business District. Does anyone know the multifamily occupancy/demand for the Texas Medical Center area? I know there are a lot of old, 1960s/1980s apartments situated near the TMC. Only a matter of time until a developer buys the garden-style complex and builds a 5 to 8 story apartment wrap. The TMC multifamily market is probably, mostly, based on a few key streets. Westridge, El Paseo, Brompton, Cambridge, El Mundo, Fannin, Holly Hall, etc. I'm surprised the TMC area does not share the same market-hype that The Heights/Montrose does with all these new medical districts popping up. The area to watch is Southern Fannin. Pierce Junction is practically vacant.
  5. Noticed this permit the other day. The Harris Center helps people with disabilities. Probably a 3-5 story apartment complex. Address is 6168 South Loop East.
  6. Discovered this while looking for more information on another multifamily apartment project by Greystar. In 2014, Greystar will also begin Elan Memorial Park, which will be located in the Washington corridor submarket of Houston. It will be divided into two phases of 292 and 258 units. http://apmanagement.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/The-Apartment-Report_APC_7.8.13_PRESS-BREAK.pdf Edit: Phase I: Elan Memorial Park at 920 Westcott Street. Phase II: The Westcott Memorial Park at 929 Westcott Street.

  8. http://www.khou.com/news/local/stories/kho....1fc767358.html Thieves park and pilfer at Park 'N Ride lot 08:51 AM CDT on Thursday, April 21, 2005 By Jeff McShan / 11 News More than a dozen angry commuters could be found among the shattered glass and broken car locks at a Park 'N Ride lot at the Addicks location on Old Katy Road in the far west side of Houston. As each bus pulled into the lot, more and more passengers, like Noelle Stewart, immediately reached for their cell phones. "I said whoever did this job over here, they was having party with the cars for a long time. There wasn't no police, no security, no nothing," says one victim. All of the victims were surprised by the lack of security. There are cameras and security tower, but no one was inside. ...........................
  9. technically, it's at Grand/Alice, but 288 and OST are within walking distance. Possibly called Med Park? That's what it's referred to on the agenda. from the planning commission

  13. Any updates regarding this shopping center? It's located at Stella Link & South Braeswood. The shopping center has been doing very poorly over the years. Lots of vacancies and no remodels. Looked around on DMRE's website today. Looks like the property was sold. 9.70 acres. Future housing or a major retail redevelopment? https://dmre.com/property/stella-link-and-braeswood-9-70-acres/ Old site plan.

  18. Looked everywhere for this one. There was one mention in the Camp Strake thread. Its massive enough to have its own mega thread, but way to far out to be in "Going Up". Since we don't have a dedicated Woodlands, Spring, and Anything Further Out subforum, I'll be posting this here. Originally conceived in 2015 this one has taken awhile to get going (possibly due to Harvey), but have already started on phase 1 which is mostly low-rise residential and big box stores, which is something we don't touch on this forum. Its the "Urban Living", "Town Center" and "Business Center" that would get our attention. For info on phase 1 developments there is an article in HBJ: https://www.bizjournals.com/houston/blog/breaking-ground/2014/08/camp-strake-property-to-include-750k-square-feet.html Now for the real meat of the project. Developer: Johnson Development Corp Architect: Johnson Development Corp (Johnson Development Corp originally did The Woodlands, and currently are working on Bridgeland near Cypress) Estimated Completion: (Unknown) This is originally land that belong to Camp Strake. 19. NewQuest Readies Plans For Mo. City Shopping Center Houston developer NewQuest Properties is planning to build a new shopping center near State Highway 6 and the Fort Bend Parkway in Missouri City. Called Fort Bend Town Center, the project would be built in two phases. Phase one includes about 40 acres at the southwest corner of Highway 6 and the parkway. This phase is planned as a 160,000- square-foot retail center with a grocery store as an anchor. Phase 2, at the southeast corner of the intersection, would be about 400,000 square feet. The rest of the story can be found here.
  20. Soil samples being taken at the private park. The rig is hard to see, but it's behind the gazebo.
