Ladies and gentlemen, we finally have two co-anchors for KPRC-TV's weekend evening newscasts, which means Phillip Mena no longer has to do the weekend newscasts by himself. Syan Rhodes was promoted as the station's weekend evening anchor, which was confirmed by the NBC affiliate's executive producer Rick McFarland told mikemcguff.com. "I'm excited and very thankful for the opportunity," Rhodes told mikemcguff.com. Plus, she's a native Houstonian, who's glad to come back home to the Bayou City. She replaces Irika Sargent, who left the co-anchor gig back in May to WFOR-TV Miami, FL. http://www.click2houston.com/ http://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2014/10/syan-rhodes-upped-to-kprc-weekend-anchor.html

Ladies & Gentlemen: Those who are or used to be fans of NBC 2 KPRC-TV Houston back in the good ole days, might remember these anchors or reporters, who worked for the NBC station. KPRC-TV NBC 2 Houston is turning into a revolving door & it's happening again: Weekend evening news anchor Irika Sargent will be leaving the Houston NBC station after three years & heading for WFOR-TV Miami, where she will join the CBS 4 news team in May. She will partner with Rick Folbaum to co-anchor the station's weekday early evening & 11:00 PM newscasts. Mike McGuff of McGuff Blog has reported the story. Any reaction from any of y'all of Sargent leaving KRPC and what's happening to the station ? http://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2014/02/irika-sargent--kprc-wfor-miami.html
