Wonder if they’re signaling that the Randall’s will be closing, making the shopping center obsolete.

    My old boss did plans for this shopping center back in the 80s or 90s. I also helped with the drawings for the Chase bank addition on the corner. This shopping center is anchored by the famous Belden's Supermarket.

    That’s for the interchange project right? However, just west of 610 and Westpark there’s a bent that’s been constructed perpendicular to the Westprk Tollway. I assume it’s for the BRT which I guess means it’s gonna have an elevated section that goes above 69? Must be why they cleared out the Chick-fil-A there on Post Oak/Richmond

    To anyone who has lunched at Grand Lux in the Galleria area, I have a couple of questions. How well-lit is the resturant at lunchtime, and do you remember what is the price range of the lunch menu (if they have one)? I've looked at the website, but the online menu doesn't show any prices. Thanks in advance.

    Is this guy b.s. or what? I haven't heard anything about it: "Dudes and Ladies, I was very upset when I heard from a business owner in River Oaks Plaza that later this year, early next, they are getting rid of the theater to put in a 30 story high-rise. word is, they are axing black eyed pea too, for a multi-level parking garage."     Finally they are going to tear down the strip shopping center on W. 43rd at Ella and re-build. This center has been mostly vacant and an eyesore for many years. Word is tenants just found out last week that they have to be out by March. Owner says it will be a year before new center is ready for move in. This leaves the few tenants there in a fix. Radio Shack is moving inventory to their W 34th St. location. The 99 cent store has reduced prices to 89 cents (hurry in for your big savings). Hallmark is probably getting the hardest hit. They have been in this center for at least 20 years and had the nicest spot. They are hoping to relocate in N. Shephard. I feel bad for the business owners but I am thrilled that they are finally doing something. Maybe we can get some good retail to come into the hood.

    The retirement home going up behind "Raising Cane" chicken strip place (on Westheimer) get to smell that DELICIOUS grease frying all night!!! LUCKY THEM!! LOL!!

    About 6 months ago, I heard a rumor about Central Market. The rumormill said that Oshman's (on the corner of Gessner and I-10) was going to move into the old Service Merchandise store (about 1/2 mile west) and Central Market was going to take over the Oshman's location. Well, for the past 6 months, it's been mostly a rumor but we've been watching with interest as the old Service Merchandise store got a facelift. Sure enough, a banner was just hung on the facade announcing that the store would be an Oshman's. So... one down, one to go? Personally, I'm thrilled about having a Central Market nearby if the rest of the rumor is true.
