I'm reposting / reupping this because this post and other content from me are no longer available on the forum due to a mod removing my account and its content in "error" (supposedly). The information may be outdated or no longer relevant, but reupping provides an archive to what was posted. It also provides a place to post future updates about this property if and when it's redeveloped An archive link of the thread before its deletion is here. 5815 Gulf Fwy ( 5845 Interstate-45 S or 5845 I-45 South ) in the Idylwood neighborhood. This is part of the Lawndale / Wayside area of Houston, near or part of the Greater East End area. Street View:

    So, I was reliving my 2008 Galveston vacation (some HAIFers may remember that I took a regular Houston vacation in 2008, but that was in the spring. No one remembers that? OK) with the Google Maps API, and I noticed that the Home Depot, the one at 20251 Gulf Freeway, just south of Baybrook Mall, has a completely empty parking lot. I can't find anything, however, that proves Home Depot closed this particular location (even though it seems to have happened nearly two years ago). Is it closed?
