I finally, naturally, came across that old office building on Richmond that has been for sale. Nobody is interested in the property it seems. It has been on the market for years. Probably too small of a parcel to do anything with? It's 0.20-acres. I've heard talk about the Fuddruckers in Greenway Plaza at 3929 Southwest Freeway has been closed. This weekend I saw a Lovett Commercial sign posted in front of the property. Had some extra time this weekend so I thought I would stop by this retail center and take some pictures. This is where the new Vietopia is located. Outstanding food! Duwest Realty is leasing this one. Love the location as you can see the Greenway Plaza skyline. This is sort of a high-profile retail center. Photos I took this weekend.

I didn't see a thread about this cool, 1950s, office building designed by Neuhaus & Taylor. Thought I would share information. Only a matter of time until it's demolished for something more modern. Also a Gerald Hines building! Very cool.

I couldn't find a topic with this address but if it exist, please merge. This building off i59/i69 is getting completely renovated, there is a rendering posted right in front of the building (I was not able to get a picture since I was driving on the highway). Work is very much underway!

I recently discovered these old 1960 apartments in the Greenway Plaza neighborhood. wow!! I would post a picture but unfortunately it's watermarked. Does anyone have an image they can share? Who was the architect on this very strange, bizarre multifamily complex?

Does anyone know when the Albert Pick Motor Inn located at 3301 Southwest Freeway was active? I'm assuming the motel was in operational in the 1970s? What replaced the demolished motel? Looking on Google Maps, it brings me to the intersection of 59 South at Buffalo Speedway. I see the famous Phoenix Tower located right there. Phoenix Tower has an address of 3200 Southwest Freeway. I found company stationary on Ebay. Looking for info!

What's the story with the old Twelve Oaks Hospital located at 4200 Portsmouth Street? The original hospital with the huge columns was demolished for the expansion of the glass facade "River Oaks Hospital"? What years was the original hospital active? Any demolishing pictures? Anyone have any memories here? I guess being a hospital, it might be bad memories. Found this postcard on Ebay. The idea of this hospital sitting near Greenway Plaza is wild. It would definitely not fit in today's commercial/hospital realty climate. There were two different apartment complexes on each side of the street. Looks to be have built in the 1950s and demolished in the late 1980s or 1990s. The two shopping centers were built in replace of these apartments? Plaza In The Park Shopping Center and Terrace Shops Shopping Center. Any pictures of the apartment complex? Did anyone happen to live here? These prices listed! $260 for a studio apartment in Greenway Plaza/West University? 37 years later and I'm sure that $260 apartment would be $1,260. So crazy! Looks like they were developed by River Oaks Management Company. There were two different apartment complexes on each side of the street. Very cool find! Apparently 60 years ago, Buffalo Speedway in River Oaks/Greenway Plaza was an industrial area filled with oil and gas and technology companies. One company is still there, Texas Crude Energy located at 2803 Buffalo Speedway. This building was across the street from the Exxon Upstream Research Company Campus at 3102 Buffalo Speedway. I'm not exactly sure which building it is on old aerials. I was browsing the magazine Offshore dated November 1955 and came across an awesome office building located at 3815 Buffalo Speedway. Anyone know the architect? It's so simple, but so cool! New home of United Core, Inc. of Houston, is this building at 3815 Buffalo Speedway. Facilities for the company, a petroleum well logging and engineering firm, include offices, an accounting department, a production laboratory, a research laboratory, and printing and drafting rooms.

Mission Constructors is one of Houston's famed construction companies founded in 1978. They have done a lot of projects in the Houston area, but one of the projects that stands out is the Museo Plaza on Fannin Street. I wonder when the 60 year old building at 3818 Buffalo Speedway will be demolished? The current tenant is Mission Constructors. They actually might own the building? I was browsing apartments this morning and noticed that HAIF does not have a thread for this complex. An older complex, probably built in the 70's or 80's. This is a 2-story garden apartment with outdated interiors. I wonder who the original developer was? I see that Greystar now manages/owns it. This looks like modest living on the outskirts of Greenway Plaza. I wonder how much longer until the complex gets sold and redeveloped into a 5-story luxury mid-rise.
