I went inside the MD Anderson Freeman-Dunn chapel the other day. Not too many pictures of this place so I thought I would share. The plaque explaining both families; John H. and Edna S. Freeman, and John S. and Mirtha Dunn. John S. Dunn, Jr. Mirtha Dunn. Chapel.

I took these before I left yesterday. It was a nice walk home through the park. Built (completed) 1948. Recently cleaned. http://valine.org/pics/05oct20-1.jpg http://valine.org/pics/05oct20-2.jpg http://valine.org/pics/05oct20-3.jpg http://valine.org/pics/05oct20-4.jpg http://valine.org/pics/05oct20-5.jpg http://valine.org/pics/05oct20-6.jpg Wyatt C. I found out that the Texas Medical Center operates the Laurence H. Favrot Tower Apartments. They are only open to Texas Medical Center professionals and other staff and their dependents See: http://www.tmc.edu/tmc-residence.html http://www.tmc.edu/tmc-res_plans.html shows floor plans of the typical apartments By the way, the apartments are zoned to the following Houston ISD schools: * Roberts Elementary School * Ryan Middle School (IMO, the area around Favrot should be rezoned to Pershing - Ryan is not too popular with Westsiders) * Lamar High School

John H. Freeman was one of the people who started the MD Anderson Foundation. J.H. Freeman was General Counsel of the Anderson, Clayton and Company. The MD Anderson foundation consisted of: Horace Wilkins (State National Bank Vice President) John Freeman (General Counsel of the Anderson, Clayton and Company) Monroe Anderson (Co-founder of Anderson, Clayton and Company, Co-founder of Texas Medical Center and MDACC) William Bates (Fulbright and Jaworski attorney) As usual, most of the founders of the Texas Medical Center lived in River Oaks.

Looking for more information regarding UTHealth's John H. Freeman Building. From what I can tell the building was under construction in August 1971 and demolished in March 2005. Who was the architect? Does anyone have any photos of the now demolished building? Thanks. https://med.uth.edu/historical-milestones/ August 1971 John H. Freeman Building construction begins. March 2005 Demolition of the John Freeman Building begins to make way for the six-story Replacement Research Facility.
