https://realtynewsreport.com/interra-buys-energy-corridor-building/ "HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Interra Capital Group acquired Memorial Pointe, a 226,586-SF office building in West Houston’s Energy Corridor, according to JLL Capital Markets. The JLL team was led by Senior Director Rick Goings from Capital Markets, and Senior Managing Director Tom Hall and Managing Director Chad Coluccio from the Loan Sales group. Memorial Pointe is an 11-story, Class B office building that has undergone multiple upgrades since 2017, including a renovated lobby. The building boasts an average suite size of 2,600 SF, which is well-suited to meet the submarket’s smaller tenant base. Memorial Pointe is currently 25 percent leased."

Earlier this year, there was a news item that Occidental (Oxy) was in talks to buy Conoco's (now ConocoPhillips) old headquarters on Katy Freeway. More recently the business media has reported that Oxy has put all of their Greenway Plaza space up for sublease and that the space will be available when Oxy moves to a "a newly constructed, owned property to the west.” Of course, not a single business reporter in this town has managed to discover or, so as we know, even inquire about, WHERE Oxy is building their new headquarters, how big it might be, who is the architect, etc etc. Has anyone heard anything?

http://www.bizjournals.com/houston/blog/breaking-ground/2014/10/energy-corridor-s-grisby-square-to-get-facelift.html For those of you not familiar with the EC, this is an area of 3 or 4 blocks of houses/buildings turned to restaurants under a canopy of large oak trees. Location is southeast corner of Hwy 6 and I10. As far as I know, this may be the first woonerf in the Houston area, other than those created as part of a town center concept like City Centre.
