  2. I'm thinking of purchasing a condo at 2016 main. How is the neighborhood? I'm hoping that someone can post pics of the building, besides the ones I've found online. The condo is very small (under 400 sq. ft.) but for that price, I think it is worth it. Maybe pics of the neighborhood? the building around this building or the people or the wild-life! something, anything. I'm moving from L.A. and will be studying at UH main campus. Thanks "y'all" (do people say that is Texas?) Here's one I found online, but it doesn't say much as to how the neighborhood is.
  3. Can't make out the exact location but in the last rendering you can see the Greenway area in the distance. http://miradorgroup.com/projects/giorgetti-houston http://s3.amazonaws.com/miradorgroup-webassets/Projects/Giorgetti-Houston/_full/01-Giorgetti_Exterior-final.jpg http://s3.amazonaws.com/miradorgroup-webassets/Projects/Giorgetti-Houston/_full/02-Giorgetti_Exterior-final.jpg http://s3.amazonaws.com/miradorgroup-webassets/Projects/Giorgetti-Houston/_full/03-Giorgetti_Exterior-final.jpg http://s3.amazonaws.com/miradorgroup-webassets/Projects/Giorgetti-Houston/_full/04-Giorgetti_Exterior-final.jpg http://s3.amazonaws.com/miradorgroup-webassets/Projects/Giorgetti-Houston/_full/05-Giorgetti_Lobby-final.jpg http://s3.amazonaws.com/miradorgroup-webassets/Projects/Giorgetti-Houston/_full/07-Giorgetti__Lobby-final.jpg

  12. Could someone give me some info/suggestions about The Mark Condominium? I'd really apprciate it! I am new to town. Single, wants to live in a highrise condo. I heard that The Mark at 3505 Sage is affordable. I went there and found there are many for sale. They built it in 2000, why still not that many sold? Please give me some advice. I have read some articles there. Very helpful. Just no one mentioned The Mark yet. Thanks in advance,

  14. EXCLUSIVE REPORTS From the August 12, 2005 print edition Cosmopolitan condos to replace coney islands Jennifer Dawson Jennifer Dawson Houston Business Journal Developer Randall Davis is cooking up plans for a high-rise residential development on the site of the James Coney Island restaurant near the Galleria. After serving up hot dogs and chili at the Post Oak Boulevard location for more than 30 years, the restaurant owners are branching out from cuisine to condos by entering into a joint venture with Davis on the project. Initial plans call for the frankfurter fixture to be demolished and replaced by a 20-story tower with 90 residential units. The building would be located on the half-acre tract nestled between a 24-Hour Fitness and the Dessert Gallery on Post Oak near the intersection of San Felipe. Sources say the high-rise will be named "Cosmopolitan," and details could be released as early as September. Read More...
  15. http://www.bizjournals.com/houston/blog/breaking-ground/2013/06/exclusive-even-more-luxury-living-for.html Inter-Pier LLC’s plans for the structure, to be named Belfiore and located on Post Oak Lane, between San Felipe and Woodway, show it will stand 26 stories with only two homes per floor, totaling 44 residences and two penthouses. actually got the (late) scoop on this Monday - supposedly several units are already presold. corner of s. post oak and wynden, right down the street from the old masaraf's. man, is the galleria area booming right now or what? there's several other high rise projects in the works scattered all about uptown/galleria. i bet the tanglewood nimby's are fuming right now! /sarcasm
  16. Originally called the George Hermann Estate Building located at 204 Travis Street in Downtown Houston. Went up yesterday in the former Subway ground-floor retail for the Hermann Lofts. ProvisionsLLC Hmm. Provisions you say? I'll take a Pass on speculating. Map updated!
  17. When I moved to Houston 20-some years ago, there was practically no residential units Downtown. The only major apartment buildings were Houston House and 2016 Main (if that's considered to be downtown). So which of the new developments offer the best in downtown living? Consider accesss to transportation, parking, noise, quality of workmanship and materials, and "bang for the buck".
  18. Sounds like a high-rise to me...the project will go up along I-610 in Uptown. Listed as North Post Oak Hotel and Residences on the plat tracker. ftp://edrc.houstontx.gov/2013/Applications//2013-3071/SubdivisionPlatPDF_3859-PLAT.pdf
  19. Does anyone have any information about this complex? Any ideas on maintenence fees? Ever known anyone that lived there? I'm wondering about security, noise, demographics, that kind of stuff. Are any of the units leased? I've sent off a few emails and I find that I'm rather impatient. (If it doesnt ring a bell its the brick complex sitting in front of St. Thomas Univ., next door to the Black Labrador and across the street from Diedrichs Coffee.) Thanks.
  20. There is a newer looking yellow condo building that appears to be vacant for the last year. Anyone have the scoop? Sorry no pic
  21. This is on 311 Pierce "The Edge Condominiums, a 6 floor midrise building, 93 Unit, new construction Condominium Building, at the Edge of Downtown Houston. Near vibrant midtown shops, the Trolley, restaurants and hot spots. Construction to begin fall of 2004, occupancy in summer of 2005."
  22. 15-Story Tower on Bancroft Lane and Bettis Drive. https://highland-tower.com/index.html Just drove by the property for the first time in a month or two and I noticed that there were "dirty barriers" up and seems like quite a bit of it was dug up. No other evidence of construction, though.
  23. Does anyone know what is going up at the northwest corner of Woodwind and W. Bellfort, directly across the street from St. George's Church? It used to be a small private school, bu the lot was cleared a year or two ago. They recently began laying underground sewage and plumbing. Anyone? Google maps
  24. I'm in the market for a larger place and being a fan of MCM I've always been interested in 5050 Woodway. Does anyone know anything about this building? I don't know anything about it other than what has been shown in listings in HAR over the years. The maintenance fee seems to be very low for a high rise. That kind of scares me. I wonder if the maintenance on the building is being done as it should be. Current Listing in 5050 Woodway
