  2. Anyone have more on this? http://www.studiomet.com/project.php?id=224 http://www.studiomet.com/upload/projects/224/Nederland_CAFE_1.jpg http://www.studiomet.com/upload/projects/224/Nederland_CAFE_2.jpg http://www.studiomet.com/upload/projects/224/Nederland_EVENT-CENTER_1.jpg
  3. I alluded to this in the 2929 Wesleyan thread but now that bisnow referenced it this morning I figured it was ok to talk about. PM is redeveloping the solvay site by tearing down the existing bldg and replacing it w a hotel/condo and building a 20 story office next door. I can't confirm much re the hotel but it sounds like the office is moving forward and would assume the hotel is as well. Don't expect anything earth shattering architecturally speaking. Should be a nice addition regardless. There are a few more projects proposed in the immediate area as well, some further along than others, but 3333 sounds like the closest thing to a guarantee.
  4. I like how it seems to flow off of the Cooley building from that angle. For some reason, the people in the shot look photoshopped! Edit: The building contains the following institutes and research centers. - Cockrell Center for Advanced Therapeutics. - Dagmar, Dow, Dunn Innovators in Translational Research. - Jerold B. Katz Academy of Translational Research.
  5. 1000 Main becomes second downtown skyscraper to change hands this summer By Jennifer Dawson Houston Business Journal Updated: 8:00 p.m. ET Sept. 18, 2005 One of the city's newest skyscrapers was acquired last week for what is believed to have been the highest price per square foot ever paid for a building in downtown Houston. Reliant Energy Plaza, located at 1000 Main, was bought by KanAm grundinvest Fonds, an institutional investor out of Germany. The seller was a partnership led by HAUS-INVEST Global of Germany, which had held an ownership stake in the building since August 2004. The other former owners are from Houston: Pinto Realty and Century Development, which developed the building in March 2003 and will continue to manage and lease the property.
