  1. I know this topic was talked about in another thread (Pavilions, I think), but I don't believe it has it's own thread. Anyways I was in Houston for a wedding last weekend and I was staying at the Four Seasons, so I wandered across the bridge to the shops to check them out. Very pathetic, horrible tenant mix, nobody was there (granted it was a Sat.) but there was definitely A LOT of potential. It was very similar to the Galleria..design wise and obviously on a much smaller scale. I was thinking if they opened it up to the street more and/or the outside in general it would be a very enjoyable experience, as I wandered around I found a newspaper like receptacle that had the Houston Center's "Magazine", anyways it was basically all about the planned renovation. They plan to make it an "Urban Park" inside, in fact they used that term A LOT. They have some of the info. on their website if you want to check it out, but it's much more in-depth in the mag, I'd scan it if I had the technology and the knowledge, unfortunately I have neither. Construction Update

  3. I'm curious as to what everyone thinks of it. It was the last big project of note during the 80's, and it's been through several name changes throughout it's tenure. It just seems so odd that it isn't connected to the tunnels (The food court below doesn't count), and that they're only now establishing retail above ground...
  4. I think this is starting to be an interesting trend downtown. 1301 McKinney recently completed a similar project in one part of the building and they had just closed off another part and I suspect they're going to do the same thing. There are a number of buildings aorund town in which this would improve the look of their buildings. Besides, it'll give the smokers a place to stand in the shade.
  5. Hi, I've noticed that Willowbrook Mall recently tore down what used to be Lord & Taylor. There's a sign that reads "FUTURE COURT." Does anyone know what Future Court is or will be? Please reply.....
  6. Always offering the very latest, The Woodlands Mall recently welcomed five new, sought-after retailers to the shopping center. Additionally, a number of retailers have been moving to new locations and improving shopping environments for visitors. Recent additions to the list of retailers include: Oil & Vinegar, described as a fashion food for food, opened earlier this year on the lower level near the Courtyard Shops. A fun shopping experience for the novice or the gourmet cook, the shelves at Oil & Vinegar are filled with treats such as Italian white truffle oil, raspberry vinegar, pastas, relish, dip and more. Sona MedSpa, a nationally known luxury spa recently opened in the office component of the shopping center. Sona provides laser hair removal and anti-aging services. The Woodlands Mall is only the second Houston location for one of the nation
  7. With all that I have recieved, I figured it was about time I contributed a little something back to these forums. I took these from the 47th floor of the 1600 Smith building (Continental Center). I wish the weather was better that day, but I hope y'all enjoy regardless.
  8. Seems like another renovation is happening downtown. The domino effect is in full force in Downtown Houston, and maybe even Houston in general.
  9. ...must be destroyed! LOL But, I hear they can't do that because it has asbestos in it... It's fuh-gly though.
  10. I hate to do this again, but this is the only way I seem to get a responce For 2 Houston Center (on HAI) there are 2 photos of 1 Houston Center. They should be on the 1 Houston Center page, not 2 Houston Center!
