Good news for those of us who like to ride to Memorial Park. The path will run along Buffalo Bayou. https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/news/houston/2023/09/06/461609/houstons-memorial-and-buffalo-bayou-parks-to-be-connected-by-forthcoming-trail/

Hi, I recently saw the photo below from a Houston Bikeways presentation outlining their plans for the Patterson bike path:https://houstonbikeplan.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Patterson-Street-Bikeway-011421.pdf Anyone have more information on the Rutland ped-bike bridge?? This would be an amazing addition to the bike path and encourages more folks to use the White Oak Bayou trail.

It looks like Davis, California beat the first U.S. Dutch intersection to the punch [link] but it looks like a non-signalized variant that allows bicycle lanes to fully interface with other bike lanes on the cross streets, is live in College Station, Texas, on a street that I myself did bike on when I went back to my rental place in Eastgate. The paint is luminescent and glows at night due to the solar energy from the day. The intersection itself is relatively low-traffic (the roads at Texas A&M are designed to be antagonistic to non-bus vehicular traffic, forcing traffic onto the roads that line the perimeter of the campus) but I think it's still kind of neat that they managed to export the intersection to Texas. Wonder if Houston will see one soon... http://today.tamu.edu/2016/10/04/first-in-u-s-dutch-style-unsignalized-intersection-installed-at-tamu/
