Another question on this one... unless I missed it, I did not see any cores / rebar and concrete legs (like Astoria). Do they not need those here?

The AmREIT video notes that all leases can be terminated by Jan1 2016 and they are looking at "significantly" increasing gross lease-able area.

Video doesn't work for me either, so thanks for grabbing the shot. I like the building, though I have to laugh... what a piss-off for the guys in Cosmo. Their view down Post Oak Blvd was awesome.

I can almost understand the $1M+ condo... it's the $4,500/month fee that blows me away (http://search.har.com/engine/dispSearchPrint.cfm?MLNUM=12651939&CLASS=6&sType=0&print=y&leadid=6&portalid=HAR)
That's like another $1M mortgage.

It is on the lot directly north of the 4 Oaks center (the three blue buildings) along S. Post Oak Lane.
-
From Post Oak it looks like it's topped out, but the core is still rising.
-
Looking out the window... not topped out.
-
It's 24hr valet only.

I'm with Lockmat. Even if you don't like the buildings... at least they are something different.

That's my guess.

Looks like it is the far north-east corner of the block bounded by Sky Lark, S. Post Oak Lane, and San Felipe. Kind of fits in the notch of the proposed residential tower... http://www.blvdplace.com/Retail-ProjectPlans.htm.
You can even see the tree in the rendering that is there.

Is it that god-awful yellow midrise hotel that has been abandoned for 6 years on the north-bound frontage road?

I can see it from Uptown.

Any chance it becomes the Peabody?

This city is nuts right now.

I'm pumped that uptown has a condo tower (Astoria), apartment tower (Blvd), commercial tower (BHP), retail dev (Blvd), and hotel (West Alabama) all going up at once. Variety is the spice of life.
Interesting times in H-Town.
