  1. I kinda reminds me of "The House" in Dallas...virtually same look without having to pay for the name of some French guy.
  2. Link "Upon completion, the project will feature approximately 250 for-rent luxury apartment homes and 12,500 SF of ground-floor retail, which will be anchored by an upscale restaurant that will service the surrounding community and the tenants. Construction is planned to commence in the second quarter of 2012. "
  3. I think the closest one is on Woodway near Voss. This whole foods will work but is kinda unnecessary since there is Rice across the street, Randalls a block away, and Kroger further down San Felipe.
  4. Didn't want to start a new thread for this so I figured this was close enough...Obama last night mentioned Houston and how this new stimulus will fund a public transportation project here. He didnt go into detail or anything but it has to be promising for the other lines.
  5. I drove down around Midtown earlier and noticed some work on the North East corner of W Gray and Taft. Does anyone know what could be going in there?
  6. First steel structure has been put up
  7. Yea I live on chimmney rock and woodway so I am very familiar with the area. Im just thinking in terms of San Felipe it seems a little isolated, with T.H. Rogers on one side and Tanglewood on the next. Don't let my negativity fool you this looks amazing especially if the pool is visible from the street.
  8. Yes, it will be where the funeral home is. As much as I like it, it does seem kinda out of place in that part of town. Still looks cool though
  9. Cowboys stadium ill leave alone, but AAC is very boring. The inside looks like a suburban office building. Victory Park, looks really cool but we all know how that place is.
  10. My guess is they are talking about the high street construction that stopped, the 4ish story steel frame that has been there for some time...I hope i am wrong, but that would be my guess
  11. Dr. Pepper / Snapple Deal Dynamo have closed a deal with Dr. Pepper / Snapple for drink rights in the new stadium. This was the first year drink sponsorships were allowed in the MLS. I like the Texas ties, now if they can just get a deal with St. Arnolds... The construction is moving along quickly, the retaining walls on north, east, and west have been built. They have already dug down to the full depth of the field and drainage is being installed.
  12. Dynamo Webcam Here is the camera from the dynamo website which should be running from here on. This video has a tour of the site itself with a little explanation of what is going on currently. At the end they speak with Chris Canetti, the dynamo pres, says we should see the actual structure of the stadium going up in about 3 weeks.
  13. Construction Pics May More Pics The west side retaining wall is supposed to be done by the next week or two. There is already 1 crane and another will be up within a week.
  14. Dynamo Construction Different shot of the site
  15. Construction Cam Camera is running again
  16. I really hope all of the area from West Ave to Rice Village eventually transforms to these type of developments. I wonder if it is even possible.
  17. Has this project started construction? I think I remember reading it would be around now.
  18. The guy on BigSoccer whose cam it is said that a cat had knocked it off. Hes going out of town for a week then will be back to fix it after that so we will be with out it until then.
  19. I was driving down Westheimer the other day and saw a sign on the side of the street saying coming soon. Looks pretty sweet. It is located just west of Sage on Westheimer. A.D. Players close to building new theater This is the only like I could find after a brief search, kinda old. Does anyone know anything else about this project?
