I worked at a (different) Whole Foods for two years, and I can promise you that the idea that only rich people shop there is nonsense.

Its reputation for being expensive has also always been overblown- it has expensive items but it's (mostly) not overpriced and their house brand stuff is really good.

That said, it's gone downhill quite a bit since the Amazon buyout.

But if you want a store that really is overpriced, I'd argue for Randall's personally.

His and Hers bathrooms where Hers is always significantly better really irritates me. Also, why does the toilet need its own door if you're not sharing the entire bathroom with *anyone*?

To put a finer point on it, the church needs parking *exactly* when it's most available downtown. No one is at work. No one is out clubbing or bar hopping or seeing a show or whatever. Acres of available parking surround this church.

Blech. He's complaining about them charging for professional photoshoots and making it sound like anyone who takes a photo with their phone will be fined. 

I like these quick turnaround reuses of mediocre buildings. This is great, and it wont be a surface lot or something for years waiting for something theoretically better.

My wife used to live in the Rice (other side of downtown, but if anything more active). Noise was not an issue. 

The strings would be pretty minimal for interior changes. The main thing it would add is time.

I'm withholding judgment until the area is completed but I wholeheartedly agree the church needed this parking solution in front of the building.

It's a cute little house, but I just can't understand the knee-jerk anti-apartment response. Apartments are good! More neighbors are good!
