Regarding the Bath Avenue Free School photo (25th and P) ... part of the foundation of that building was incorporated into the building currently on the site. The cornerstone is visible on the northwest side of the building. ----------------------------------- Bath Avenue Free School - 25th and Avenue P Built: unknown Demolished: 1900, abandoned grocery store now sits on the site.

Considering there is an under-the-radar effort underway to have the current stadium declared a historical structure and given the protections associated with such declarations, my guess is no. I imagine a deal will be worked out to allow it to be modified for use by O'Connell and Galveston College.

With the relocation of most of the clinical operations formerly housed in the PCP building (Port Holiday Mall) to various sites in League City, I heard that only the second floor of the building will be used now...The first floor will remain mostly vacant and used for storage. Another sad end to a Galveston building. I remember shopping at The Fair as a kid...slow slow cashiers stand out in my mind the most. Wasn't there also a Craig's in the Port Holiday Mall?
