    Beck's Prime

I'm so sorry to hear about your car. One of my biggest peeves is when someone doesn't take responsibility. (can you tell it's happened to me before??) I am glad to hear the Ahi Tuna sandwich has a following. I ALWAYS feel like I could eat another because it's just SO tasty. I love me some burger but that sandwich is always my go-to.

I am NOT a fry person either but I LOVE Beck's fries. It's one of the few places I will eat them. And yes, they do have sweet potato fries. And it sounds weird but I love the ahi tuna sandwich at Beck's. It's amazing. I also mention The Counter as another burger joint in the area. It's decent too, despite being a national chain.
  3. I don't blame you. I'm a female and I can't wear skinny jeans. They feel weird and they are hardly ever flattering.
  4. The week before Easter, I purchased the bacon anticipating family guests that weekend. They are STILL talking about the bacon. It was SO good. You think that something like bacon can't be improved upon but it can.
  5. It's not quite as bad as I thought it would be inside, though it could use a bit more staging...
  6. I agree. There are some fantastic caretakers and then some that take advantage of who they are intended to protect and care for. What I thought was curious, though perhaps nothing, is the primary caretaker was not in the house and her adult son was the resident in the garage apartment. Regardless of what happened, it's a terrible loss.
  7. Thanks, Dan. I'll check that book out. I just caught your response as I haven't logged on much lately.
  8. Thank you for sharing your memories! I love to hear what life used to be like and can't wait to see some of your photos. Life really has changed in many ways.
  9. Oh yes.. We live just north of I-10 in Woodland Heights and hear a few each week.
  10. Having lost my cat I know how it feels to not know what has happened to your pet. I'm so sorry. Please don't give up either. My cat was found 5 months later. He was perfectly healthy despite the weight loss. So you can get her back. My suggestion is to make flyers, go door to door, talk to people in a 1 mile radius of your home. What others have told you about website and craiglist also helps- and sometimes the shelters/pound have a book of flyers they keep and will input your cat's info into their system in case she's picked up for whatever reason. My cat was returned because a neighbor saw
  11. El Rey, definitely. We eat there at least 1x per week. So affordable, varied menu, fresh food. Yum. The ceviche is great! Onion Creek Star Pizza El Tiempo (not sure if it's still in The Heights but we like it) Stella Sola (excited to try brunch. I've been to meet girl friends for wine and apps.) Beaver's Lola's Haven't been yet but looking forward to: King Biscuit Jenni's JusMac Pie in the SKy Shade
  12. I have two choices for parking: 1. In my tiny driveway1/3 of it which is sidewalk 2. blocking my driveway from the street Both are probably illegal. I've parked both ways, never getting a ticket despite the frequent visits of the cops to a neighbor's place. I'm on a small side street without much traffic but still I worry about it with 4 months left in my lease.
  13. Good to know. We don't have a vet yet. Thanks!
