Won't happen, Parvizan or whatever the latest "Going Out Of Business is Good For Business" rug store is going in the Dessert Gallery/Maggie Rita's spot.

I doubt they would invest and sign a multi-year lease only to have their location be demolished for a tower.

I'm still trying to figure out how parking in the garage is going to work. It really does look wide enough for two cars going up/down at the same time

I read in an earlier post the garage will only be for a 24/7 valet service. No self parking.

McDonald's sold part of its land for this development. I wouldn't say they ruined anything, they enabled the development.

They should have taken the smaller lot, I mean, it just makes more sense.

That is going to be such a skinny building.

I do think it is unfortunate that McDonald's got the larger end of the plot.

It really does look cramped. McDonald's ruins everything...

Yes, the location is actually perfect considering they will be in good company with their peers.

Looks great! I'll say unfortunately, for now, that this high street and RO district have virtually no connectivity. This and ROD blow high street out of the water, which I think was a major disappointment.

I came into this thread thinking the same, I hope since they are all in different stages of being built, decide to allow some sort of relationship with each other with sidewalks and minimize fences and walls between them.

As to Italy, they make nice money off of tourism for their historic monuments, although I believe if you ask them, they probably see a value in those monuments that can't be boiled down to how much money they take in. They have a word for this mindset - barbarismo.

The dome is surrounded by an ugly sea of parking spaces, and fenced in. If you want tourist to visit it on that aspect, more would need to be done to give it appeal. Touristy spots are usually walkable.

This along with the two new condos (Astoria and Hanover) and the Apache tower, 4 cranes will be up within a 1/2 mile of each other.
