Heh heh. Want to know how I know that you just made this entire post up? Two reasons. One, Walmart is currently running a store specific ad campaign. They do it for a lot of different stores. Two, radio ads are NOT expensive, especially for the #1 largest corporation in the world. You made up this entire post to make it sound like you know something, when in reality, you know nothing...and guessed wrong.

He is desperate for Walmart not to do well. His entire being is dependent upon this single big box store failing, so that he can believe that the Heights is somehow different than everywhere else. Even if it is successful, he will claim it isn't, lest his raison d'être be extinguished. He is in a very precarious position.

To answer your question, I have read only part of the 380, because I have no qualms with it. Why waste my time reading something that I no no problem with?

Leonard, you just keep getting worse and worse. You keep on telling yourself that stuff, and s3mh will keep on agreeing with you...but not many others. You've been beating that drum for a year, and no one has come over to your side that wasn't already a Walmart hater. Even worse, they applauded the exact same development with Target as an anchor, while complaining about Walmart.

Virtually every development that you listed is not better for me...and for most of my neighbors. I do not need luxury midrise apartments, nor overpriced womens clothing. It likely is not better for you either, but you won't admit it. That's OK. I know that you go to Walmart in the middle of the night to pick up stuff you need, whether you admit it to us or not. The more I think about it, those were some really hideous examples to attempt to outdo a Walmart. Maybe an HEB or a Home Depot, but overpriced clothing and jewelry? Come on!

Although I am not at all certain that any of what you wrote matters in the grand scheme of things, kudos to you for coming up with what appears to be a differentiation of Conroe's much better daytime population gain. Of course, I don't understand the slam on Conroe for having "energy sector jobs". Don't you engage in daily mental masturbation over a couple of buildings near the mall that house (or will soon) "energy sector" workers? Also, nearly all of the "Lake Community" is not actually in Conroe, and, oh, the Woodlands also has a "lake community". And, yes, Conroe has government workers, but the Woodlands has a mall, so that's almost the same. And, the Woodlands would be a town unto itself, at least until everyone found out that cities and towns are expensive, and the Woodlands decided it could simply mooch off of Montgomery County for the stuff it didn't want to pay for, like government jobs. Oh well, let's not quibble. I hope I haven't ruined your chamber of commerce moment. Oh, BTW, an analysis of traffic and commuting patterns would reveal that the Woodlands does indeed lose a lot of its population during the day. It simply also gets a lot of commuters coming into the town center as well. Check out the flyover every morning. So, there is still a lot of commuting, but it goes both directions. That may be a bit more efficient in some ways (using both sides of the freeway), but it also inhibits the development of mass transit to the area. Win some. Lose some.

Check out Conroe. Even more impressive stats than the Woodlands. Yet, it never seems to get any credit for it. Splitting it will only result in the same topic posted on two threads. This thread grew into what it is organically. You can't stop it without simply locking it. Better to just leave it alone. Leonard's question was more of a political statement than a request. I doubt he really wanted the post deleted. He just wanted to comment how far off topic it was, even for this thread.

Be careful what you ask for. The Walmart topic ended months ago. Now, it is crying about 380s and bridges of death. If you demand that off topic posts get deleted you'll probably end up with a closed thread. Where would you complain about caliper inches then?
