  1. It looks to me like it will be farther to the right. That new parking garage is in front of the Merdien. There's a section (triangle) shaped, where the 45N on ramp from Allen Pkwy is. It may cover the 8-sided, brown, Allen 3 or it may be between Enron and Allen 3 from a western perspective.

I did this yesterday. I agree it may cover 3 Allen Center but I don't see how it would be between Enron and 3 Allen Center. It would be great if someone could add the new rendering to this photo.

  2. Month-to-date precipitation: 0.00 inches. None in the 10 day forecast. I wonder if that would be a record? I know it would suck.

Yup. A record, driest June. The current record is 0.08 that was set in June of 2005(?). We may hit 100 next week!

  3. I LOVE the developement (brownstone areas)

    I LOVE the tower

But together they look like a hot mess... but thank the heavens that SOMEBODY in this town has figured out the concept of rooftop parking, and building the development to the street corner. That's some sweet action!!

I think the tower and the urban townhomes will work out great together when complete. I like that it seems out of place to some people, while I think its a excellent combination of architecture.

Just take a look, this Modern building proposed in NYC thats out-of-place with its surrondings.

  4. I'm not sure we've seen this particular rendering, but I could be wrong.

Check out the skybridge going to some(no)where.

Skybridge to 5 Houston Center, from the Disco Tower website.

Does anyone know if this skybridge is planned? Or Cancelled maybe?

I know the tower is almost topped out but, they still have time to add a skybridge.

  5. HBJ reports a new hotel complex in the planning stages for Houston's industrial east side.

Would like more info if one of you HAIFers find it.

    Future Development

In 2009 the Company purchased a development site in the Houston, Texas ship channel corridor. The land is slated for future development of four individual properties.

    -Hampton Inns & Suites

    -Courtyard by Marriott

    -TownePlace Suites by Marriott

    -Home2Suites by Hilton

Look under the Under Development section, all four will be located near the Ship Channel.

isn't there a thread on this already?

    No
