Per HCAD, there are 101 units.  AMREIT already owns at least 22 of them. Another entity owns at least 6. AMREIT was purchased by Edens, the company that now also owns Uptown Park. It looks like AMREIT/Edens aims to buy the complex. (Typically, a majority vote can require all owners to sell.)

On the other hand, it seems they haven't bought recently, so they (AMREIT) may have changed their mind. Seven units have sold in the past 2 years; AMREIT bought none of them.

I’ve merged with the existing topic which shows AMREIT planned to redevelop the site back in 2014. Eden’s scrapped those plans after the merger.

A New York-based real estate development firm is planning to transform a 6-acre site at the intersection of South Congress Avenue and West Riverside Drive with high-rise towers — the latest indication that Austin's downtown skyline is poised to expand across Lake Bird Lake.

The Related Cos. wants to establish a planned unit development with a maximum building height of 575 feet, or about 50 stories. The multitower project would include approximately 800 residential units, as well as a 225-room hotel, 200,000 square feet of office space, 90,000 square feet of retail space, 30,000 square feet of space for restaurants and a 25,000-square-foot grocery store, in addition to an underground parking garage, according to documents submitted to the city."

  3. Tristen Real Estate planning multifamily apartments here. Maybe @IntheKnowHouston can dig up the address of the parcels purchased?

9009 West Loop South is 17-acre corporate campus, formerly the Aramco Services Company, located in Southwest Houston. The Property is located just east of Meyerland Plaza shopping and restaurants, and is within one of the most heavily traveled areas of the city with excellent access to Houston's inner loop and major thoroughfares. During the acquisition of the property, Triten had two parcels of the site under contract simultaneously within two different transactions. These two parcels totaled about 12 acres leaving Triten with 5 acres at the site with plans to develop in the future.

Clarksville bakery and restaurant Swedish Hill will close this month ahead of a big development construction project, but it’s not going away forever.

Swedish’s last day of service at 1120 West Sixth Street will be on Sunday, January 14. And then the bakery will then reopen in a temporary spot sometime later this month still in the Clarksville neighborhood. That one, dubbed Little Swedish Hill or the Swedish Hill Outpost, will be found at 1128 West Sixth Street bakery. The menu remains the same, with baked goods, sandwiches, coffees, salads, soups, teas, breads, and more. While it’ll be dedicated to takeout and pickup orders with a deli case, there’s an outdoor dine-in area nearby. The catering branch will still offer cakes and custom cakes for pickups and deliveries.

Once the construction that is taking over the West Sixth block of Swedish’s original home is over, the bakery will reopen permanently in the new mixed-use development, Sixth&Blanco. The project, which is co-developed by parent company McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality(MML) and designed by architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, will include a hotel and other to-be-announced restaurants. Everything will open in late 2026.
