Thanks for that Handbook of Texas reference! Yep. I remember my dad talking about it. It was his first job as a metallurgist. After the war, he and the rest of the crew went to Hughes Tool Company where he worked for 37 years.

We would also go for breakfast at Cokin's on South Main on opening night and wait for the Houston Post to publish Hurbert Roussel's review.
